Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but did anyone notice how when he's reminiscing about his childhood, it shows his right side with his normal eye, but when he kills Jinpachi, it shows his left side with his red eye? His right side showed there was still a shred of humanity in him while his left side shows how far he's fallen. The symbolism makes this a surprisingly well-crafted ending.

Yeah. And there's always been a hint of conflict within Kazuya, I think the most blatant and literal representation of this being the fact that in Tekken 2 you can have Devil and a character called Angel fight over Kazuya, with Angel being functionally a clone of Devil, in how she plays. In the end, Kazuya chose to embrace the devil gene within him and be who he is, but there are some implications of regret somewhere in there.
@wksers_serks3 жыл бұрын
@@NiiRubra I completely agree with that. I remember that the dev, of tekken 2 at the time, or one of the dev team. Said something along these lines: "For some, they see a jet-black being flying with bat-like wings. A devil. While others see the white feathers falling under the moonlight, like an angel." It was supposed to show that kazuya is fighting the evil within, and later on we'll see how's that gonna influence later events, or at least how it'll influence characters, like Jin for example. And yes I do realise that they replaced kaz with jin in T3. Just remember that Harada took over after T2. So it may not have been the plan all along. Also side note. This phrase was hinting that Angel was never meant to be her own character. She was just there to symbolise that inner conflict within kaz in T2 at the time.

I love the Tekken 5 intro so much, it goes from stone faced serious fight scene with the supposed death of Heihachi and the introduction to a new and mysterious character straight to a cheesy anime opening, and I wouldn't have it any other way

So, Jinpachi has split hair with a long beard Heihachi has the same split with some facial hair Kazuya has a clean shave with one pointy hairstyle Jin has a similar hairstyle with a bit less straightening to it. ... Jin's son is gonna be bald or will have messy hair.
