Personally I love the mono. Mind you a quadraphonic version would be great..our old 3 in 1 had simulated quadraphonic sound as a feature. I was in Hifidelity heaven.

I this the only version we have from this piece? I've searched all internet for a high quality recording of this song yet i cant find none, if any of you have this on disc or similar, please upload it to youtube so we all may enjoy this from now to posteriority

Yes, they are definitely lip-synching, but they are doing it along with their own actual recording...which is not nearly the same as that "Milli-Vanilli" scandal some years ago. Check out this group's "Secret Love" video, where they do a much more realistic lip-synch...they're pretty much spot-on. I bought this LP a number of years ago at a used record store and I love it! I wish Mr. Welk had recorded more albums with this group

I'm going to have to check that one out. A novelty version of the song was cut in the 70s by sitcom stars Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams on their album "Laverne and Shirley Sing".

well boys and girls, the truth is they already recorded it, so they played it back and lip synched...heck, even judy garland did it way back when. WHEN they don't have a microphone right in front or when LW announces it as a recording arrangment or something from an album, fine. And the guy who pressed the playback button pressed it and then they started pretending to sing. So? At least they could really sing and play instruments..
