When Toriyama died I read the manga from the start for the first time in forever and had a blast even if quibbles with it like characters getting outclassed too quickly and so on It's a shame that there are still sections in the fandom that think it's perfectly fine to skip 194 chapters of a story because Toei wanted to make more marketing money when making Z or the weirdos that genuinely believe DBZA is a replacement for the original series Also I'm still a bit bummed Satan's name got changed for understandable reasons since it ruins the joke of his daughter being a pun on devil and everyone being saved at the end of the series by a guy called Satan

To add to what I meant by my takes; Tien, Yamacha and Chiaotzu are characters that get brought back just for fan service at this point, they add nothing to the story and if they have nothing to do with them, don’t add them. Plain and simple (also my boy tien deserves better he had such a good character in og db)

The Demon King Piccolo arc: .got me hoping for better when I watched and read it, it gets constantly overrated by Dragon Ball fans and I wish it was better overall .asspulls include: Gokus heart stops and then restarts out of nowhere, the true sacred water(removes all the coolness the original sacred water had) and suddenly anyone can climb up Korin Tower( it was meant to be a big thing but now some random guy named Yajirobe can do it) .it was the first Big Bad arc, therefore it was pretty much surpassed in every single way by the next 3 arcs(23rd WT, Saiyan Saga, Frieza saga) .it was good in the grand scheme of things, but it’s kinda mediocre looking at what the franchise has to offer . The king piccolo Goons aren’t menacing at all( other than Tambourine ) . Demon king Piccolo by himself was mostly bland

I'm ok with Tien and Yamcha but Chiaotzu definitely shouldn't have been brought back after Namek He would non ironically add more to the story if he remained in North Kaio planet for the rest of the series, maybe he could even talk to Goku for the first time lol

Rip Akira. Me and my friends were rewatching all of the movies and: hear me out. World's Strongest. Master Roshi. They needed to jump him to win. Goku took them out one by a one. Roshi ordering the turtle school to kamehameha, peak moment. Love Roshi. 🐢 The world needs more fun and wise mentors like him. Hard agree.

idk if it was just a bad translation but iirc freeza remains in his weaker forms because of like a racial thing where he said that they conceal their true form out of a sense of honor. It's his sunday best.

I always had a weird thought after the zenkai boosts were explained to the viewer; would a saiyan even get a zenkai boost if they had wished for immortality? In order to get it you need to almost die, but if you were never in danger of dying, would that even count? Has Toriama ever answered this question?

I wont say Vegeta is good, but he has been making amends. During the Moro arc he apologizes to the Namekians for the atrocities he's committed against them, doesn't seek forgiveness and tries his hardest to save the planet and its people from Moro no matter what.

Powescalers need to get out of Dragonball and start comparing isekai and wuxia and korean battle series protags 'cause that's way funnier and there's sooooo much to argue about. Like argue final-form Rimuru(Tensura) against Sung Jinwoo(Solo Leveling). I mean just scaling Rimuru alone could be a couple months of videos if one were to go truly in-depth.
