As someone who lost a baby at 12 weeks, I cant even begin to process how someone could fake a miscarriage. It was devastating for both of us. My husband was a long distance truck driver and not home at the time and I had to tell him when he got home. I couldn't even look at him to tell him. I buried my face in his shoulder and told him I lost what would have been our first born. We both cried for that lost little one.

Everyone that's saying for him to run and never speak to her again seems to forget that (as far as we know), the baby is still very real and alive. Not only that, but he WANTS to be a dad, so there's no way he'd just up and abandon his unborn child, after this. Her? Oh, absolutely break up with her, but don't go No Contact where you'll never see your kid. Which is why I really hope that this pregnancy is fake... If it's real, then they probably should do the couple's counseling, as well as, familial counseling, so they can learn how to have a functioning co-parenting relationship, whilst being permenantly broken up.

Not really, this is kind of the difference between “old money” and “Nuevo Riche”. People who have generational wealthy are usually pretty low key about it, because they have nothing to prove, while people who are new to money flaunt and fritter it. Exactly his reaction was extremely valid, in fact I wouldn't be mad if he was MORE upset, but you could pick up throughout his story that he still seemed apologetic, as if he was overreacting. She probably gaslighted him into thinking its not that 'big of a deal'. Poor guy, I cannot imagine the amount of grief he felt in those couple minutes from finding the distressed best friend (knowing that something bad had happened) to finding his fiancé bloody and teary, and then seeing his 'supposed' baby dead in a toilet. This was absolutely Carly’s idea. The gf was either gushing about how happy she was that OP was excited for the baby or she mentioned that she was feeling insecure. Carly jumped in with a brilliant idea. My money is on the former. The GF being happy and Carly dropping a, “Are you SURE he’s really happy?” Then just eating away at her confidence until the gf was truly worried. Carly then proposes a way to be sure and she’ll even get a photo so they can see what his expression displays in the moment of finding out. Now, what I don’t think Carly probably expected was that OP would be so truly hurt to learn of the “miscarriage.” She probably thought he’d show relief, she could get the photo, and then she could say to the gf, “See?! He doesn’t REALLY love you.” Which is her ultimate goal. I truly don’t know about continuing the relationship. I think the gf might need serious mental help before she is responsible for raising a kid and that would be my biggest concern in OP’s shoes. But the relationship absolutely cannot continue unless OP cuts of Carly. She has to go.

I agree, I think it was the toxic friend who created whole scheme. I am not justifying with the fiancé in any way, but I do think pregnancy hormones played a big role in this scenario. Those pregnancy hormones make you insecure, pre-partum depression, emotions are everywhere, and sometimes you act a little crazy. I think the friend played with those hormones and manipulated in some way. She was totally wrong, but I think a lot of those factors on top of her toxic friend caused her to make a real shitty decision. I think counseling is a healthy solution.

As a woman who has miscarried multiple times, that is absolutely disgusting, I would fully expect my husband to leave me if I did something like that. Even though we've gotten to a point that miscarriages aren't as devastating as they used to be just because of the number of them we have had to experience they are still heartbreaking and trauma inducing. I was blessed and lucky enough that after 7 years and medical procedures I was able to get pregnant and carry my baby to term, she is happy and healthy and we are so unbelievably grateful to have her.

I am 70 years old. When I was a toddler my older sibling and my mother teased me for several days that I was not really family but was adopted because no one else wanted me. The cruelty of my mother and sibling has stayed with me all these years and I have never forgotten how they kept the ''joke'' going for several days. I never, since that time, felt I was truly one of my family and became an outsider. What my sibling wanted and got but one would think my mother wouldn't have been so cruel. When my husband proposed- all he wanted to do afterwards was sit and cuddle. He had been nervous all day and I could tell something was up a dinner (which he made at my apartment). We just sat there taking in our big life changing moment for about two hours: 18 yrs later, one son and some major life altering events, no regrets. though i am unaware of your circumstances, my grandparents had several miscarriages before then having 10 children who survived, of whom my Mother was their youngest. I had a best friend Named Larry, (he is deceased now) whose wife Joanne had four miscarriages before she was able to carry their son Noah to term. After several years they actually were able to have a second child also. AS i said, i do not know your circumstances, but there is hope even after multiple miscarriages if you are able emotionally to endure continuing to try. My bestie’s brother had a strange and cruel pregnancy scare when he was 19. His girlfriend of two years pretended to be pregnant just to see how he would react and waited two months to tell him. He took some time considering all his options and how he was going to be a father when he felt they were too young with not enough money in his opinion. He decided to take the responsibility on. She said he passed though but obviously he had to leave her. It’s always SHOCKING some people think it’s okay to LIE about bringing a life into the world or faking losing a baby. YOU are not the only one affected and not the only one who is entitled to feelings. Testing like this is extremely fucked up. He changed all of his future plans for career and college. I hope miss crazy pants got some help. Edit: she was on birth control which he had seen her take many times so he had thought he was in that small percentage of people who still get pregnant. He believed her but wasn’t necessarily unsafe.

I have a friend whose wife was about 2 months pregnant (planned) and he was so excited about having a baby and shared all over about it. Apparently their relationship wasn’t the best and she left for a long weekend. She wasn’t pregnant when she came home. She had an abortion. He was devastated but forgave her. She divorced him thankfully about 6 months later. People do horrible things 😢.

@@elisaseverns2543 It's okay to not want to have a child or not feeling ready for it I wish she would have talked to your friend first before having an abortion and let him know she doesn't want the baby. He must have feel horrible I hope he's okay now

My son's girlfriend did the fake pregnancy and then fake miscarriage thing to him. He was youngish, but was more than ready to take on the responsibility. She did the fake miscarriage a month or so later and he was very upset. He had heard the doctor say there was no sign of her ever being pregnant when they were in the ER, but she didn't want him in the room while she was being examined and he wasn't sure he'd heard correctly. Later on, she admitted it. Years later, she has had fertility problems and it caused the end of her marriage. My son moved on and has 2 children, that he loves more than anything. I don't understand why some women do this cruel thing to men. Some men really do want children and families and they get very hurt going through this.

@@kimmyB9203 no it is an absolutely terrible thing to do to someone. Obviously men cannot fake a pregnancy or miscarriage but if I ever dated a man who faked…let’s say a disease or maybe even cheating to see my reaction, I would find those cruel as well. My friend’s brother, who now in my later years I am friends with, is still messed up about this and doesn’t trust relationships as much. He is in his 30s now and ready for a kid and marriage but has trouble trusting people and their intentions. It can severely mess with someone. I am glad your son is happy with children and I wish the best for your family. Hopefully that girl also got some help

Oh man, I know that feeling. When my ex-wife and I first got together she told me that she thought she was pregnant - now, the child wouldn't have been mine but I had already accepted her previous 2 children as my own and the thought of being a Dad from day one was super exciting. We went to the store, got the test, she took it, and when time was up she came out of the bathroom. She told me it was positive. I was ecstatic. Lo and behold, a week later she decided to tell me that she had lied (I didn't see the test. I had trusted her because 1. I had known her since middle school and 2. She hadn't given me a reason to not trust her before) and wanted to see if I would have still been into being a father to another's man's child. Remember, I had already accepted her previous 2 children! I stayed longer than I should have in that relationship because I fell in love with the kids and being a Dad.

They saw she was brown, assumed she was poor and were upset when they couldn't exploit her. I understand loving her fiancée and all that, but that is one shit family she's about to marry into. Correct me if I'm wrong, Indian families are very family-oriented, so she might want to consider what she's getting herself (and her immediate family) into, should she marry that man.

It doesn't have to be because of her ethnicity, It could've been like she said, she didn't like spending money on going out to restaurants, spending money on expensive clothing, etc. so they probably thought she didn't have money to do those things, why would she have any money at all. The prenup is smart even though it wasn't the brides idea. The only person who needs to know that information is your fiance and he knew it. The in-laws don't need to know or they should find out themselves.

​@KimberlyCasey-cy5fu because if the bride had money, the mother was going to expect her to give them some as shown in the vid, after the whole wanting to cancel the prenup. But if she didn't the mother would have just thought she was going to want money if they divorced which is why the fiancé family came up with the idea of the prenup, so it wasn't ok if his bride takes any of their money, but it is perfectly fine if they took hers, so I'm glad she agreed and didn't agree to cancel after they found out the facts and then try to change their minds "all of a sudden"
