É quando a música é escolhida pra entrar no álbum ou ser single. Porque eles podem compor várias músicas e o artista recusar todas ou querer só uma. E eles só recebem se for escolhida então acho que é também por isso que chamam de cut porque tem aquilo de "my cut" né o sentido de dinheiro da palavra.
