They should do a livestream for an hour in the morning 10am-11am and then another stream in the evening 7pm-8pm! Answering questions from emails and also the live chat!
@Lioness99a4 жыл бұрын
While that would be great, the morning one would be slap bang in the middle of the working day as it is next Thursday (if I've done my Maths right!). Not sure I can justify an hours break to watch a live stream :'(

Lioness99a you could send an email in and if they save the live you could watch it later (I know it’s not the same)

100% make friends with FOH staff (I may be biased as I've been working FOH for 4 years alongside studying MT in Edinburgh). We really appreciate cast members and crew making an effort and we also know all the best clubs and bars. We only ever have touring casts but especially for a longer run (3 weeks +) we will most likely invite everyone out and if you're super friendly we sometimes chat with patrons about how nice everyone is... Just a thought xx

I’ve never heard of tipping the dresser! (I have a degree in stage management/tech and work full time as a technician, with quite a few friends who are dressers and costume supervisors) So that might be a UK thing? I find it really interesting that there are such varying cultures/traditions that are just the ‘done thing’ in different countries. Would love to hear your guys take on touring in different countries, if it was different from home etc! :)

Most likely a uk thing 😂

I know it's definitely done on broadway and probably national tours too, but it wouldn't be done in amateur theatre where the actors aren't paid

I went to see Great Comet and was so excited to see Denée Benton as Natasha but I randomly saw my twitter friend and met her friends who just saw the matinee and Denée left in the middle of Act 1 because of a horrible migraine. At least she knew she couldn’t continue and decided to put herself first. While I was a bit gutted that she wouldn’t be there for the evening show I would see, her understudy, Lauren Zakrin was INCREDIBLE! I got to meet her at stage door and I told her how amazing she was! But yes, I’m glad Denée prioritized herself and let Lauren and swings to do their job!

Last year during ‘Mamma Mia’ 14 people in a company of 19 (incl. stage management) went on a theatre approve trip on the days off. Then a landslide closed the only road back. The theatre had to start looking into private planes to get us back No one from this theatre is allowed to go to Tofino until the second road is built

I really want to perform when I am older. But I love dying my hair (I am 14 with permanent short purple hair 😂 #lockdownhaircuts ) and I play field hockey as a hobby 🏑. Hockey is a surprisingly very violent sport. I have seen quite a few face injuries and broken/swollen ankles and broken fingers... ugh 😑 😂 I would probably stop playing for work and i would definitely dye and/or cut my hair if I was asked to

Looking at this corona thoing I've also learnt that if you are sick (not covid sick) you can easly make anyone else sick. So if you are performer you not only put yourself at risk, and quality of show but you can make other people sick

100% this. If people get ill with something viral and come in work anyway it passes through the cast and crew like crazy. Especially the ones who are in big dressing rooms together.

@SamWest964 жыл бұрын
Self employed people don't get any taxes deducted automatically, they have to do all of the work themselves to save that money and pay it a few months after the end of the financial year. There are exceptions but for actors this is generally the case. The same goes for NI
