Thanks again for these great podcasts I really enjoyed them. For anybody doesn't know the live archive has every single concert in multiple versions. I'm not sure why they don't mention it but if you want to hear any particular show you can find it easily and for free

I loved it when they would go into something else, then so on and so on, and then SNEAK Sunshiny Daydream at the end!

Great show - another great episode. I’m a little surprised they didn’t talk about the song structure though. Sugar Mags is quite unusual in how it jumps around between the various parts. Verse 1, Verse 2, Chorus, Verse 3, Verse 4, Bridge, Chorus, Bridge 2, sunshine outro. I was hoping Bob would say something about that.

I don’t mind at all, I love this song.😂 I don’t care what you say. It was still written about the sweet leaf when I hear it. Thanks for sharing the love of the Dead’s evolution.

I love all things Grateful Dead, I love the break down of who , how , where , when the songs were written. BUT , I got douche chills when they started with the misogynistic interpretations of our beloved lyrics. Women were empowered in the GD family and that was wonderfully highlighted. If you require a trigger warning or a contextual explanation of Sugar Magnolia , I submit to you that your doing the Grateful Dead wrong. Full Stop. Let the words be yours I am done with mine.

I love Scarlet Begonias, you reference Barton hall, Cornell 77 a legendary show. Check out "China Cat Sunflower> I know You Rider From, Europe 72, magic!

@@RobertMcEntee Thanks Robert for the info I'm on those two song tonight from Europe 72 I appreciate the info I can't believe I'm just getting into the dead in my fifties I seen every other classic rock concert there is including led zep in their hay day, Aerosmith Bowie ZZ Top Van Halen On and On Frank Zappa Queen together in one show at Maryland university back in the earlly 80s, believe it the only thing I listen to really was trucking and sugar mag and a few songs on the classic Radio Uncle John's Band excetera, but as you know the Grateful Dead magic is in these live shows and the jam sessions, these guys are Beyond talented musicians. Like I said I want to check out those two songs on the Europe live album you suggested I'll get you back on you on that, I'm sure they are great. Thx again

@@kent7525 Sure thing man. you've seen some great bands! I didnt see a lot of them but did see the dead over 100 times from 79 through various incarnations. Crazy I know but every show different. Dead & Co still doing a great job. You'll love Europe 72 stuff. 77 another killer year. So even though you missed them you'll enjoy catching up now. BTW if you have sirius radio you'll enjoy "Tales from the golden Road" on Dead channel Sundays 4 to 6 EST
