I’m 23, born a year or so after Jerry died. I grew up on classic rock, but only got into the dead over the past two years. The feelings they give are almost indescribable, but if you’re here I’m sure I don’t need to explain that to you. I put this music on and watch these guys and I just weep in pure joy and amazement. Whose with me?

Never went to another show after 1978. I have watched the 7/7/89 show over and over and thought it may have been the absolute best. I have also seen a version of "The Other One" with Vince, and now can't fiond it. If anyone knows where to find it, please let me know- it was outdoors, but not the one at Golden Gate Park.

I was at this run of Hampton shows (3/26-3/28). Best set of shows I ever saw the Boys play. Great arena. Only 12,000 capacity, best acoustics of any indoor venue I've been to, and by then Hampton Coliseum was the last general admission venue the Dead played on the East coast. They loved playing Hampton, and Hampton loved hosting them. I recall trying to find a hotel for me and my friends. When I inquired at one place about vacancy the gal replied, "We're all booked up that weekend! The Grateful Dead are coming to town and we're proud of it!" Good times.

Born in 78. Still mad my mom wouldn't let me go to the show in Memphis 4-2-95. Would have been my first and only. I became a true fan about 5 years ago when I drove for Uber and ALL I put the radio on was Sirius 23 GD channel. Literally no one that got in my car asked me to change it. Most were blown away at an Uber driver listening to the Dead. Had some great conversations and met some great people. I listen everyday in my kitchen while I cook. Sober two months today and they help me with it every day. Life is so good.

Weir is underated as an axe man, I too, have watched his fingers and listened to his fusion style chords. He really makes a great support for Jerry to play over ! Jerry wouldn't be able to get away with those space jams without Bobby complimenting his notes. Weir is great ! Of course it goes without saying, Jerry is the man !! Dennis Campbell until I watched The Other One, I hadn’t given Bobby his full respect. I’m young in age, 38. My mother turned me onto the Dead when I was 6. Long live the Grateful Dead! I was only 6 years old when Jerry passed but been listening my whole life. Much love everyone and thanks for keeping this alive✌

So amazing the energy between the crowd and the band. Every time the crowd erupted the boys just turned up the juice even more. It felt like a volcano was just about to blow! This rivals 5/8/77, but it’s like they’ve matured and truly mastered what they do. It’s true, we are incredibly lucky to have access to so many shows, so much has been recorded on apps like Relisten. We could listen for the rest of our lives(and I will) and still you won’t hear the same Jerry solos no matter how hard you try. How TF did he do it?

@David Lowny Yes. They were putting up one hit wonder videos of the shows and it was SO ANNOYING! Now they're putting up sets but obscure sets - by that I mean they are going back to '88 shows, from '85 and '89, some '91, but they were doing sets like this, FIRE O T MT., MIGHT AS WELL, BLACK PETER (BLACK PETER WAS ASS TRIPPED OUT) Man, they were so good on the East Coast shows. I really appreciate these uploads⚡⚡⚡

I literally just stumbled onto this - and I was there on the floor. Jerry gave me a nod and sang Peggy-O for me. My boyfriend nearly lost it- I.had made him listen to a crappy tape of. Peggy-O incessantly! “The Omnipotent GratefulDead!”😉❣️

I was at that show and it rocks as hard here as I remembered it. It builds kind of steadily but by the time they get to Fire, Garcia is rocking his ass off. Jerry always rocked a little bit harder for the VA tribe. The Hampton and Richmond shows in the 80's just rocked like this all the time.

Jerry, and Bob, had a way with the crowd, they knew 90% were tripping!! Take the crowd to a far away place, then bring everyone up!! To an incredible Happy Place!! Such a great group of musicians, always working the crowd, and always giving their best, not only to preform, but to keep everyone on an equal plain! It was truly a said day when we lost Jerry, God bless this great soul

I saw them in December of '92 in Tempe Arizona. They did a Scarlet/Fire going into Fire just as the sun was setting on the mountains in the background. It was simply magical, I'll never forget it.
