The taste is unbelievable (can also do it with pineapple) If you get a quantity of sugar cane juice you can go on boiling it away to reduce water ... It comes down to a thick paste you can brick it for long term storage or make real brown sugar. The best sugar you can get. Also the waste pressed fibers can be used as food for cattle and they absolutely love it.

Sugar is sugar. How healthy sugar is, is a matter of moderation. You can eat only organic, homemade sugar and still have diabetes and high blood pressure.

Eh. Yes and no. The refining process isolates the carbohydrate on its own, and leaves behind all of the other goodness that the plant can offer. Notice how he stated to consume in moderation. That sticky sweetener he made is just as caloric and sweet as granulated refined sugar, but is probably 1000x more nutritious to our bodies. Would you say the same about a sticky sweetener made from sugar beets? Or cooked maple sap? Sugarcane gets a bad rep

@SolarCookingGermany Well it's true that the vitamins and antioxidants in the fruits help preventing cancer. The sugar cane probably have them too, but yes, the problem is that it seems like that he's giving the property to the sugar he processed. And of course, drinking sugarcane juice may help cancer prevention, but worsen other conditions because of the sugar. It's the same thing of red wine. The risks outweigh the benefits.
