Goodbye Billy, Hello Kallax

I have just transitioned from the Ikea Billy's to the 3x3 Kallax Bookshelves.
So far I am pretty happy with the new shelves and they appear to be more solid compared to the bowing Billy!

I have 6 2x4 kallax bookshelfs and it's look amazing and it's very sturdy. Best decision ever ! Very nice collection by the way.

I am thinking about buying Kallax bookshelves. How does the build quality differ between the Billy line and the Kallax line? And which one would you recommend for comic readers/collectors that have books ranging from a standard trade size, to absolute editions?

Kallax all the way.. Shelves don’t bow and you can store another set of HC’s behind :)

I just notice you have a couple of absolute editions that fit in the kallax cube. I thought the cubes measure 13x13 and the absolute were 15 inches in height?

Do you have any stability or weight issues having two 3x3 on another like that? IKEAS online designer won't allow stacking so I assume they don't recommend it.

Hi! Main reason is that I didn’t want my shelves sagging anymore. IKEA Billy’s over time is notorious for this if you have heavy Omnis all loaded up on the shelves.
