So sad. I have 2016 one. I consider it still one of the best looking sedans on the road. The red ones still turning heads. They look so special even compared to most premiums.

I agree. I saw a beautiful snowflake white Pearl w black rims out & about yesterday. Beautiful. I have a 2021 Mazda CX-5 GT that works better for my back issues than this. Before my spine problems I enjoyed a 2016 Mazda 3 and a 2008 Mazda 6 prior to that.

Wish they kept this going. The carbon trim for 2021 looked amazing. Not sure why they never added AWD as an option. I think that was holding it back. Hoping they bring this back on the new RWD platform as a sportback/liftback with AWD.

Luv my 2017 6.. Has 83k trouble free miles. 2018 was a disappointment with cylinder deactivation on non turbo models. Had a massive recall on it so hopefully 2022 stopped the deactivation.

Johnathan! Looking at the Mazda3, scrounging trying to find a turbo up here in NE. Loved test driving it on the twisty hilly roads. I plan on taking some longer road trips next summer. Will involve cruising 65-75 on the highway for long periods. The MPG difference is negligible, but do you think the NA 2.5 would be a better option from a wear/tear perspective? Do these outgoing 6's have gearing better suited for those long trips, even with the turbo? Or would I still be fine with the 3 turbo?
@2004cyrus2 жыл бұрын
I say yes because I’ve owned 5 Mazdas and I have 2021. But I realize you were asking Jonathan. Cheers

NA should always be more reliable, but I was pleasantly surprised to see the CX9 in Consumer Reports Top-10 Most Reliable - and that's turbo only.

@@mightbesherwood1313 Roger. That is confidence boosting. I know they had to alter the engine setup slightly to fit it in the 3, but my money is on Mazda knowing what they're doing. By the time I can get my hands on one anyway, I'm sure we'll have several more months of reliability data

Just take what you can from the piggy bank and finance the rest at a 1.9% APR from your credit union. I did that and I’m happy with my new CX-5.
