Planetbase Gameplay with Jalindo! Planetbase is a game where you guide a group of space settlers trying to establish an outpost in a remote planet. I think I see some changes from four years ago with my newly purchased game. I was surprised you didn't stay closer to the tutorial steps and installed items within specific time periods. I do realize there are more than a few ways to start a colony, so as long as the progress doesn't get slowed down while trying to recover from a problem, it works. I probably should say I have played the first planet all the way to the ten mailestenes a few times and started on the second planet option.

At first it was one frustration after another due to the disasters programmed into the game. Especially the meteorite attacks that take out more than a few personnel. One of the glaring restrictions in the game is the fact important duties can only be completed by one type of colony member. That part makes no sense, but clearly the disasters won't work as effectively without it. I am thinking you have planned to do a lot of rebuilding, going bigger when you can and aligning your domes in a more efficient manner. One example would be putting the control center between any work domes and the landing pad and airlock so intruders cannot kill off skilled members before security can get to the intruders.

Your build is spot on aside from plants choice wheat and tomatoes is the best combo for pasta (2 wheat pads/1tomato pad) and don't go for many wind turbines they are unriliable build just a few to compliment your power production when solar panel don't work and btw your biologists are inefficient because they walk so far to the canteen and dorm

Banished in space doesn't sound right. Let's say someone made a game where you build a colony in Africa, let's call it "Exiled". Someone else makes a game where you build a colony in North America, we'll call it "Americanbase". Would you call "Americanbase", "Exiled" in the ocean"? Banished IS Banished in space, it's set on a planet......in space. Same as Planetbase. Haha, don't mind me, this is just something I picked up on a long time ago from sci-fi movies and TV shows, when characters would say, "space this", "space that", "from outer space", when referring to things from other planets. Anyway it's a pretty good game, I only discovered it a few months ago. I'm hoping they make a new one with more features.

Hey Jalindo. I have recently purchased planetbase and had been seeing limited success, then I went online and found your 1 hour tutorial video. Great job on the video it really helped me get a stable base and learn some of the particulars of properly managing the base. I am thinking about starting a youtube series myself and was wondering what programs you use to make such high quality videos. Anyway, keep up the good work.

+Darko Matterus It's a lot like Spatials and probably Banished. The difficulty level is definitely a ton higher. It's so easy to make one mistake and have your entire base collapse in no time. Hence the tutorial I made. ;)

I watched all the Mars play of this and I was baffled. This is a game that really does not feel like Spatials, that sadly just feels like a laid back game where you just can;t lose and just have to farm. I will watch the cold planet when you will be done with it. >.> I want to watch it completed XD

I wish the game would auto slow down time when buildings are finished or some other important event happens. It's annoying to play with the finger on the minus key all the time. -_-'

Hit escape to pause in game while you watch the video, then pause the video and catch your game up to the spot. That's what I did. Just hit 100 colonists tonight and got 7/10. Ready to start the second planet tomorrow. Looking forward to dying again. ;)
