TRAINING AID I RECOMMEND - HACKMOTION
▶Hackmotion Wrist analysis give you clarity on how the "hub" of the golf swing operates within the parameters your pivot allows. Everyone is different, and we should therefore apply different feels for all when it comes to club face and wrist angle orientation. Hackmotion delivers this.

GOLF GLOVES I RECOMMEND
▶Golf Gloves have become extremely expensive and are, along with golf grips, the tyres that put the traction in your golf swing. An essential ingredient hugely overlooked by golfers to improve their consistency and ball striking. GX Golf Gloves offer premium cabretta leather golf gloves for a fraction of the price of high street brands. Head over to www.gxgolfgloves.com and use my code "goodgolfcoaching" for a 10% discount on your next order.

This video gives you great detail on how to hit more greens, hit more fairways and lower your golf scores and ultimately your handicap.
We look at 3 things:
1. How to fix your swing plane in the golf swing
2. How to fix your golf club release
3. Improving your ball striking
and I hope to do all this with simple understanding to create a simple golf easy golf swing.

If there is a better lesson than this one on all of KZbin, I’d be surprised. I feel like this has everything needed to help every golfer. This helps swing plane, club to path, alignment, how the hands work, and much much more. The straight line from the box showing the swing arc is brilliant. The straight line being an arc is a counter intuitive thought for most, but when you see it demonstrated in this fashion as Stu shows, it should really help “click” for many people…swinging on this arc, around the body, equates to straight golf shots, Stu you’re the man.

I binned all other ideas from utube and thought let me try to execute your method. Tried that Box feeling which was ok, but by pushing my hands down and especially once exiting the impact area, I saw 45-90 yard hooks in my game today. I’m sure there’s something I’m missing. Do we need to push the hands down thus elevating the club head ?

Hi Stu, thanks for the detail explanation. A question if I may, does the “vertical” or “ up and down pitch” applying pressure on the shaft, not contradict the “outward” movement from the top demonstrated in your other videos. I appreciate that the actual swing incorporates a blend of rotation and elevation , but to my eye, in a full swing, the club appears to be moving down ( and around) rather than out or am I missing something..? Isolating the shoulder/arm movement from the turn back to target, yes, I sense an outward “feel” , if that makes sense ..? Cheers.

Love how you explain club path and swing plane, and how they go hand-in-hand. It was quite technical but understand why you had to do it this way. Always amazes me how important it is to use the golf handle (your hands) correctly to make the clubhead move the way you want. Seems like most amatuers should be focusing on moving the handle correctly to get the clubhead where it needs to go and not focusing on the clubhead. Cheers.

I am now only after decades of golf understanding through your videos how the golf swing works. Recording my swing recognising every fault, I have all of them, but actually everything I’ve done before only made them worse but felt they should work. Now being brave from the grip to trying everything else despite feeling like I’m going to shank it I’m seeing soooo much improvement, thank you..

Wow the box really changes my perspective quite a bit. Reminds me of this old Manuel de la Torre video where he tries to settle the non-argument in putting where some people emphasise an arc versus others saying 'straight back-straight through'. He shows that both are correct in their own way by using a rail as a visual, which he moves the putter back and forth along -much like your box. Though I don't waste energy on such debates, the visual did unveil something to me I couldn't wrap my head around previously. Your box did the same in this video. Many thanks for elaborating on concepts rather than giving bite-size tips. If you or anyone else is interested in what I am talking about, it's at about 16:50 in this old video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4CVhaego512r8U I don't doubt that you probably know it.

Thank you, learnt lots. Btw when you mentioned Hogan, he had his hands set up as if shooting a pistol right into the ground - a lot of ulnar or high hands. Was he setting his "end range" as Bryson says. Since Hogan actually returns to his shaft plane on impact. Aiding consistency. On the other hand Mac Ogrady for a period has really low hands at setup. Think he returned slightly higher through impact but certainly not significantly.

As someone who over rotates the clubface and gets a lot of toe strikes, most probably from standing the handle up, this make absolute sense. In an effort to get more in to out (I've been measured at less than 1 degree in or out) and judging by what I've just watched, I've ended up doing the opposite of what I should be doing. Would love to get someone like you take a look at my swing and put me out of my misery 🙂

Do you just cater these things to me or what? Pretty sure you described me to a tee. Discovered two things in the monitor this morning. I over rotate and the art of side bend. Path came under control, start line improved, no more straight left and all without weakening the grip. Tried it and the purchase just wasn’t secure. Stellar video my friend! Learning more and more with every video. Many, many thanks my friend! My best, NWH

Club path and swing plane explained fully. Very valuable for a complete understanding of the forces working on the handle and club head. The visual of the club head working back up and staying outside of the handle on the thru swing with the more horizontal swing plane is an element of the golf swing that I have not seen explained before. Thanks for more great content.
