My swing feels so much more natural and my contact with the ball has never been this good. Thank you for explaining the grip so well, especially using your push-up metaphor. Loved it!

This is a really great video. I must confess that I think I’ve been bringing my right hand under the club because that’s what so many people say too. However, what you’re saying makes so much sense about how bad doesn’t seem to work quite right as you take the right arm back. I can’t wait to try to work on this grid. Thank you exclamation

I've always thought it was my grip. Nobody stresses the importance of the grip as much as you Stu. This video made things so much clearer. Great Coaching Stu! Thanks

Stu, absolutely love this grip video. The details are eye opening and transformative. I knew the grip was paramount to a good golf swing but had no idea of all of the flaws it can fix, and the problems associated with a poor grip. Thanks for the education. Cheers.

@@GoodGolfCoaching I've been following you since virtually day one and I really wanted to come to have a lesson with you but I live in Taiwan! I looked at the skillest app, but that's not really for me. I'm a bit more oldschool. In one of your recent videos, you said that some of your viewers had experienced pulled shots to the left and that has been a major bug bear of mine after trying to adopt your teaching methods! I tried all sorts of things such as placing the ball further back to my right foot weakening my grip (what I thought was a strong left hand grip that you profess BUT not quite the push-up grip strong left-hand grip), changing my right hand grip blah blah blah. Even though I shoot around 90 pulling my drives 30 yards to the left, I was getting a little bit disheartened. Watching this video yesterday I went back to the driving range after my round (88) and lo and behold straight shots! Shit, I'm glad I've never lost faith in you!!! Kudos 🙏🙏🙏 😘

I see so many bad grips and when prompted for advice I suggest a grip change the answer comes back "ohh I don't know about that". Two shots later, it's abandoned. 🤷🤷. I work on mine everytime I pick a club up. Great vid again Stu. We will convert these heathens 😂😂

I think you were working on/thinking about this around the same time you did my Skillest session (also based on the cold). Certainly getting my right hand more on top helps, though it also still feels strange at times. Does getting both hands more on top of the grip and able to push down also help with combatting early extension?
@GoodGolfCoaching16 күн бұрын
Hi Robin, it is certainly one of the factors that would help with early extension.

Stuart- if you don’t mind my saying so, you strike a startling resemblance to Ringo Starr, both in appearance and voice. And like Ringo, he is a true master at drumming because he has an innate sense as to what works best for the benefit of the song. I see that quality in you, you have made a true study of what works best for a proper swing in spite of what tradition has dictated for a very long time. Think of the players who could have achieved so much more if they weren’t slaves to accepted teaching. Most of the golf swing occurs out of line of sight, and the momentary part that happens in front of us goes by in a blur. That’s the rub of trying to figure it all out. Thank you for your diligence and your clear explanations.

Hello Robert, I’ve received many messages on KZbin but; even though I’m not too familiar with Ringo’s work, your sentiment is probably the most rewarding message I’ve received. I truly love what I do, whilst I come across a little pushy I’m really not that guy, but someone filled with passion to share what I believe is a clear answer to the woes of golfers who have never found a way to play the game. Thank you so my for your thoughts, it’s certainly left me wanting to do more and more and 2025 is going to really step up in every way. Can’t wait to share. Thank you Robert and wish you and your family a very Happy Christmas. Best wishes Stu

Thanks for another brilliant video Stu. When first putting your left hand down, before putting fingers on and moving thumb over, looks like grip runs just under the thumb knuckle, is that correct? Want to make sure I’m doing it right. Cheers

I've been using your grip for the last season, but developed a hard left curve with low ball flight in iron shots. A recent lesson moved my grip to the more neutral side. I would like to retry your grip, Stu. What is a good starting point to address why my stronger grip was going so left?
@GoodGolfCoaching20 күн бұрын
Hey buddy - please watch my video on “Power at Impact” and/or my “Handle Path” video. These will fix the left shot my friend.
@tonyfrostad273022 күн бұрын
that with, relaxed pressure in the hands and arms and not swinging as hard and fast as you can, will make you more consistent. Stu I think we watch you hit the ball and see you swinging (to our eyes hard) it would make a better impression showing and stressing verbally to the viewer to slow their swing speed to ingrain the grip before taking full swings. Thanks for passing on your knowledge

Really enjoyed the video but Maybe I missed something, but it would have been nice to have seen you show me how to place my left hand on the grip without having to do a push up, I’m 72 for god sake show me how to do it standing up. It’s ok I worked it out
