I am grateful for all the expert, detailed instruction you give in your tutorials. I have learned so much. And, because of your help, over 200 homeless/needy people have hats, scarves, headbands and cowls to keep them warm in winter. We all thank you.

Thank you for the awesome video. There are so many ways to bind on and bind off a hat. I look at all of them for effects on a hat and different techniques. I love the blue color of the yarn that you selected.

J Mallett oh yes there totally are many ways. I wanted to stick to basics on this series first but future videos of course will show more advanced techniques. ☺️ Thank you so much! 😍💕

@@GoodKnitKisses That's great, so people won't get intimidated. There are more advanced techniques that still overwhelm me, plus I use the basics all the time.

I was wondering about the gauging adjustments like Ky Skellenberg's question. Since pegs are all the same size and there are a constant # of pegs at a contant distance apart, the only thing you can do to make adjustments is either change looms, use an adjustable loom, or change the yarn thickness. Is that correct? Your lessons are just wonderful. You have taught me so much!
@GoodKnitKisses2 жыл бұрын
Yes, to change the gauge on a fixed gauge loom you’d need to change your yarn. You can also choose a different way to make the knit stitch. Look at my lesson on the different knit stitches as they can help adjust your pattern to get something the right size or even if you want it a tad stretchy or tight. There are adjustable size looms with sliders, or links to add or take away stitches but the stitch gauge stays the day. However there is ONE brand of looms that allows flexibility on changing the actual stitch gauge from one project to another on the same loom. Kiss-looms are actually adjustable in gauge. There is a learning curve and investment but the community around and maker of those looms are super friendly and helpful. It’s a tight knit community so to speak. ;) I hope that helps!

I tried making a round dishcloth. Turned out more like a hat. My guess I picked the wrong cast on/bind off. What do you recommend

How do I get rid of the ugly seam when I knit in the round on a round loom using drawstring cast on?

when it says change yarn or loom size cast on multiple of 4 it means like get a different loom for a different peg count right? like you don't skip pegs? in the round anyway, Right? And what about odd number of pegs would that loom just not work. Tia
@GoodKnitKisses2 жыл бұрын
Hello! My apologies for just seeing your comment. Not sure if you still need this answer but I’ll answer. For in the round, if you have a multiple you simply make sure the loom peg count can be divided evenly into that number. No, you wouldn’t skip pegs. Yes there are looms with odd numbers. If that happens, you would need to make an adjustment in your pattern, compromise or change to a different loom. There are patterns that call for an odd number in the round. It just depends on the design. Hope that helps!

I would like to use this pattern to knit hats for the homeless but would like to make a man's size. The largest round loom I have is 41 peg and is 11.5 inches. It is by Loops and Threads.
@GoodKnitKisses8 ай бұрын
You can use that. I suggest using a super bulky weight #6 yarn.

I just love your videos and all things on ypur channel. I'm hoping you can help me find out where I can purchase the "knit and purl tool" that you demonstrated about 2 years ago? I tried the knitandpurltool.com, but the Web page is not working. Thank you for your time.

Oh goodness. I know that is frustrating. I have seen they come in and out of times when they make them since it is a hobby for the husband wife team. I'm sorry.
