this has been going on for years! I had registered mail and parcels marked as delivery attempt failed when the postman didn't even bother to ring my door bell at my condo. my mobile phone number was clearly stated on the package and they didn't try calling my mobile. when I complained, the service mgr said it was their policy for postman not to call mobile. I tried writing to the then CEO but no reply. good riddance to sing post. I hope the entire mgmt are renewed. I am so glad that finally they are found out.

One moment it state delivery on way then next moment it state delivery fail due to no answer even though i am home n door bell not rang. It didn't happen just once for me. Not even a notice at the door, not even a doorbell. And sometimes it is not just singpost. To be fair Singpost has great and nice mail delivery personnel, I know nice uncles who will take care of your package and sometimes hide them under your doormat ( even though it is pointless haha). But I think some bad apples cannot be bothered to do a proper job making it very annoying when they make fake failed delivery notifications as if I am the one at fault for their cheating.

Singpost only know how to spam our mailbox with flyers. The Singpost mail service of yesteryear's was much better. With improved technology and experience, one would expect improvements not deterioration !

Singpost has for years tried forcing condo residents to go to the post office to collect parcels. The postman will stealthily come up to the door and slip the "delivery failed" notice under the door and run off. At least now there is a parcel santa community mailbox in the condo for package deliveries.

*OIC, now I understand.* I remember when approximately 2 years ago, I would often get my Shopee delivery delayed by a week or even more then the stipulated date given. A elderly relative waited the whole day for her parcel just to be informed that there wasn’t anyone at home to receive it & hence the postman had deposited it in a pick locker 1km away from her home. For myself, all the postmen will deposit my parcels in our condo pick locker even though I’ve paid for home delivery. No doubt it’s nearby but I didn’t ask for locker service. All other deliverymen ( eg Ninja, SPX)will deliver my parcels to my doorstep. So glad the top management were fired 🎉

Its not only oversea unit... its common in local delivery as well but the packages were "delivered" but only to show up few days later..

The news is about sing post selling their most prized revenue generating assets to repay debt that they can no longer pay with higher interest rates. I'd buy the stock if the shareholders shave off a cut of their value, but at this point the business is no longer valuable if all it does is save money for shareholders by firing it's core service production units
