Google Ads WooCommerce Conversion Tracking - Track Purchase Conversions For a WooCommerce Website

Hi. Surfside PPC. I'm the developer of the Pixel Manager for WooCommerce. Quick info: Adding the conversion linker through the GTM is unnecessary when setting up Google Ads through the Pixel Manager. The Pixel Manager injects Google's gtag.js tracking library on every shop page, which also works as a conversion linker.

AFTER FOLLOWING THIS TUTORIAL IN 2024, ARE YOU STILL GETTING ERRORS? THIS MIGHT HELP: After setting this up exactly as you suggested, my Google Ads account spat out configuration errors, conversion tracking misconfigured errors etc etc. So I was messing around endlessly trying to find a solution. I shouldn't have worried. Google Ads will flag up errors until the PURCHASE conversion action is actually triggered. In other words, if a customer hasn't yet clicked on your ad AND gone to your site AND purchased a product, the misconfiguration errors in Google Ads will remain. Just relax and be patient. Don't meddle until you're certain that a customer has completed this process and the conversion still hasn't successfully logged. I can also confirm that Google Tag Manager is not essential to successfully configure this tool. Thank you again for the high quality tutorial.

Thank you so much. Today I've installed it and I will test it tomorrow. One more question: I already track GA-4 traffic and some conversions. But woocommerce conversions are not tracked in GA-4. If I add the GA-4 ID will this track only the Woocommerce conversions? Or also traffic? If it also tracks traffic it might be double tracked? Looking forward to your suggestions on this. There is not the option of "pixel manager" under woocommerce dropdown in WP.

Why did you choose the generic conversion linker instead of the proper Google Ads Conversion Linker?! This is critical point that should have been made.

Can you maybe show how to troubleshoot and check conversions in Tag Assistant without actually buying stuff? That's the first time I'm doing that on an e-commerce shop and I don't want to just casually buy stuff via debug mode by mistake ;)

when choosing value for each conversion it says a minimum of 1 and does not allow an input of 0. Have i done something wrong?

I highly doubt one conversion label will somehow give you information about multiple products in someone's shopping cart, this video is probably simply to track a purchase like you would by tracking a thank you page.
