I'd say it works just zoom the map into your destination amd it just gives you the cheapest days to fly (next 6 months). Downside is the flights are usually unusually long but next up are regular flights for good prices. Other major downside is you can't specify anything more than a weekend, 1wk, 2wk.

Works really well too because you might be able to find really cheap connections. Using this technique I have already saved hundreds of euro's! Like, if you want to fly from Athens to Amsterdam for example. There could be a cheap Ryanair flight from Athens to Milan, and a cheap easyJet flight from Milan to Amsterdam. This won't show up in Google flights or any other flight comparison website.

It works but it directs you to cheap airlines that charge extra for everything so you end up paying the same amount it would cost on an average priced flight. You’re basically paying to fly from point A to B with no carry-on. It’s still a good price if you’re only flying to NYC to catch a broadway show and then back home after or flying back to college.

I did a test on this. I did it though google flights then priceline. It was exactly $1.00 difference.

I checked this hack against the airline's website: yes you can save money, in the example I did above, I could save $200 but it would mean I would have no seat selection, last to board, no changes to ticket and the offered times were inconvenient, like getting to the city late afternoon or evening. I would say this is a great deal if you didn't have to worry about time, not worry about all the overhead bin space being taken up, or who you sat next to, or what, like the toilets.

If you know your destination you can pull up the calendar on Google flights and it will let you which days are cheaper to travel.

Great tips, too bad there's no hack for business travellers who need specific dates. Also I found that airlines advertise cheap fares then it goes up with their fees or the cheap flights are the worst ones, from long layovers too early flights that are so early it's unsafe. How did airlines get away with charging us for what should be included anyway? Charging for seats, and carry-ons?!?

I don't get your tips i looked into the hiring someone / family member at low salary to use as a tax break and keep money in the family, and learned your can only get a tax break of 3% GDI minus any other tax deductions at 500k that would be 15000. But if you have any other business deductions it wipes out that one, and if your business has even one employee you are already capped for that deduction, you'd have to make millions and have almost no employees to use it

Initially it will give you suggested flights which are cheap, but the moment you change the dates and map destination, the prices massively changes to the same prices when you put the destination and flight dates. Bad advice. These flights are cheap because of many other things, like under 1 hour layover times or 6+ hour layovers, bag fee hasn’t been charged yet. Basically you got to include very specific parameters, besides the month and length of stay, to get a more accurate price. You’re basically misleading people

funny that you say that it's cheaper and yet when Using other sites like expedia or skyscanner... They are way cheaper then google flight. Google Flight doesn't even direct you to alternative sites to book. It redirects you to the flight's own website instead. This doesn't work for everyone. I selected a multicity flight for 6 pax. it was $6k on skyscanner and expedia and yet when it came to google flight it was $8k.

I use sky scanner, it’ll give you cheaper options like getting a plane to somewhere, and going from there to wherever you want to go. For example I was looking at Manchester- London, but it was less than half the price to go to Dublin first, then to London
