Pitney Z is good, Lake Talquin, Lake Jackson all good lots of different spots on both lakes, but down near Aucilla where you got out to stretch your legs check out St Mark's Lighthouse in Newport maybe 5-7 miles from where you were off 98. 26 bream, yarmouth, catfish yesterday. My favorite spot in this area. Botj saltwater and freshwater fishing there and several miles to fish from. You bounced all over lol good video though! Good luck next time you come up!

I’m from Tallahassee and I love fishing but I can’t seem to find places where bass bite. Where was the last place at??
@reeljourney3 жыл бұрын
I'm not from Tallahassee either so I honestly couldn't say. I was all over the place and I'm not familiar with the area. Sorry

Hey I know it was a while back but when you showed up to that last spot did you just walk up to the water and start fishing or did you have to get permission

Hey I would like to know if you could give me a tip on when to set the hook. I feel like I always set the hook at the wrong time and it slips out the fishes mouth. I also wanted to know how to retrieve a chatterbait.

well for most Texas rigs you'll want to feel the bite, reel slowly to make sure the fish is still there, when reeling bring the rod to where you plan to set the hook so if you do a side hookset then you drop the rod for a split sec then hookset hard to the side and keep reeling. My best chatterbait retrieve is just a straight retrieve with a 6:4 gear ratio reel just fast enough to feel that blade vibrating in the water with the rod tip down more often than not.

also sometimes the fish just pick up your bait and drop it. Happens a lot more than we realize. If you watch underwater footage of bass you know this happens often. Sometimes you just don't have a fish at the other end anymore. Also, don't use cheap hooks. That's one of my biggest problems. Having baits with salt and or flavor also helps them to hold onto the bait as well.

Munson lake is one of the best lakes around tallahassee on numbers no big fish, also it’s a dirty run off lake from all of tallahassee with trash don’t eat the fish
