Not hating, but now you have to wash your phone with soap and water just to have a good looking phone ahah. I think that for the premium price you’re paying for it you shouldn’t have to wash it with soap, just my opinion.

Well, it probably does the same with a humid microfiber tissu. But if you prefer to have finger prints on your phone, you still can buy a glossy one. Anyway if you want an always good looking phone without doing anything, whatever phone you could have, I'm afraid you won't be able to touch it at all. I prefer this one because it marks much less easier than fingers does on glossies. You still can watch out where you put your phone on but you can't avoid to touch it and I don't like to wear gloves :-D

anyway these phones are not within my price range since i can’t afford it ( i’m a student). though i’m thinking of buying either iphone 7 or s8, i’m inclining to the 7 since i use an ipad & a beatsX bt earphone. was kinda disappointed to the non-stereo speaker of s8 but still blown-away by the display. Another reason why i might go to the 7 is i kinda like the simplicity of the ios, not hating on android because i used one ( asus zenfone 2) and it was great and after 3 years it’s still functioning & my dad is still using it, i found that i’m not a customize person & all those app, which i can’t delete, i just put them in a window where i never go ahah, and i never changed the theme of the phone.

The frosted glass on the back doesn’t scratch when in contact with keys and coins and stuff. It’s actually shavings off the items that are left on your phone. If you get a cloth and rub it the scratches will disappear.

Good video but you got one thing wrong the pixel doesn't scratch easily. It scratches everything else easily. Try washing it and use a brush on it the marks will go away because it's just a material from stuff it scratched.

Hey! Thanks for the honest review. Been using a Pixel 3 for about 10 days and think its amazing despite its flaws. That camera is remarkable, and I say that as someone whose main camera is a Nikon DSLR, and I eagerly await Night Sight appearing in the Play Store in the UK.

FYI The back isn't scratching. The back is almost like glass sandpaper, so the "scratches" you see are actual lines of matter from whatever touched it.

Noticed you didn't mention anything about getting the Pixel 3 up and running. Bought my Pixel 3 about 10 days ago and have been dreaded the time it would take to switch all my data and apps. Coming from the Droid family (latest Turbo) it took the sales tech 3 hours to transfer all my stuff and me days to get everything running at the last upgrade! SO yesterday I bit the bullet and started my Pixel and WOW. The transfer instructions, cable, and software worked amazing! Within a few MINUTES everything was transferred! After opening and signing in all my apps (about an hour) I had pretty much duplicated my screens and dropped all the utilities now built into Pie. The longest time spent was the phone getting the system updates but that was OK as I didn't have to babysit it! Today I have a fast phone with a day battery and all my programs up and running. Can't wait to see the camera in action!

actually the frosted glass on the back isn't scratching. It has the same hardness as the glossy glass, so when you rub for example your keys against it, its not the glass scratching, but the keys leaving a residue, because the glass is tougher than the keys, its kinda like a nail-file. Just give it a good brush with some water, soap and a toothbrush and the "scratches" will clean away

Pixel phones have unlimeted Cloud Storage for photos and videos in Full Original Size. The 64GB or 128GB can be used for files, games and apps because you don't have to fisicaly keep photos and videos on your Pixel phone. You can store them in Google Photos and access them whenever you want regardless of device and platform!

Is there anyway to disable that aggressive video stabilisation(EIS)? That's super choppy when panning quickly. That EIS is trying hard to hold a still position, but it's in fact moving, so the result is like smooth panning -> out of range, jump -> smooth panning -> jump -> loop.

Great video! Just have to point out that those "scratches" can be washed out with soap and water (and maybe a toothbrush if you have to). It's material transfer (things rubbing off on the glass), the back glass scratches as easily as any other smartphone with Gorilla Glass 5.

Don't - Android phones don't hold their value like iPhones. Also, when you take into account that the Pixel is overpriced, has a huge notch, and the microphones are trash, it's better to stay with the iPhone. Apple respects your privacy and doesn't make money off of your data when using the phone.

Maybe 6? Thanks. A b it disappointing they actually put a smaller batt with a larger screen. Crazy huh. And yes, front facing stereo speakers is my vice as well. @@nomad0714 not sure about iCloud stuff but I know whatever is on your iPhone you'll have an option to transfer using that transfer cable that comes with the pixle. So all the pic/videos/sms/contacts/apps should all transfer.

Please end my fence sitting on this.. mines on preorder. I’ve only seen a possibly burnt in on 24/7 store Pixel 2 at max brightness, and it was abysmal. No ones commented on the BRIGHTNESS, only the colour and so on. How does it fair to an iPhone (if you’ve got a 6s+ to compare against - 🙏🏻) and their brightness on max? I’m stressing it’s arrival after being shipped; and it being dim. Then I have to sell it privately. Everything I love about this phone, except the display I’m worried for. Thank you! Also Nacho Notch disables notch screen space, but leaves the information there. Utilizing it already how google plans to implement the setting.

Display brightness is fine. Don't get scared that you have to put in on higher brightness because they changed the brightness slider from linear to logarithmic on Pie

I’m the type of person who has everything cranked for brightness though; my monitor took some getting used to when it was darkened to reflect a more normal brightness. But I like my phone super bright. When you say ‘fine’ does that imply passable of actually bright? Thanks again!
