If you pause the screenshot at 6:08 and do the math, the 3a should be getting about 152 minutes of screen time and the XL should be getting about 138. Screen usage since fully charge divided by used percentage points. Tryign to decide which to buy and I was going to get the XL for the battery life but now I'm thinking just get the 3a, have more room in my pocket and effectively the same battery life. This is consistent with a review I found elsewhere online that said battery life was equivalent. I'm guessing because of the larger screen, it requires the more energy.

Ummm.....the processor in Pixel 3a is kind of disappointing. Not like I hate the pixel. I love them, actually I own a pixel 2. Thier stock android and those camera is really something. I hope for an update to pixel 3a from my pixel 2, but it's confusing. Not asking for the top of the line processor but they could have gone for the SD 675 or 710. Not to mention there is 712, 730 and 730G.

The xl has a 3700 mAh battery and the regular has a 3000mAh which is the only internal difference. Id go with the xl cuz of bigger screen and battery

Very creditable phones, no doubt. I'm going to guess that their major problem in a notchy/teardrop market is: They don't look 2019, they look 2017 at best. Folks that buy these will be the non-trendy types, which is a smaller part of the phone market.

*Consider the following...* The pixel3aXL almost has the same dimensions as big flagship phones such as huawei p30pro. While screendiagonal might be less (6.0" vs. 6.4") it has large bezels. Dont fall for this. If you're looking at a smartphone to buy always draw the dimensions on paper and cut it out. I considered buying a pixel3aXL simply cause I want extra juice, but the size made me shy away from it. I own the p3a for a few days now and so far Im actually impressed with battery life.

Nobody has mentioned about the Bluetooth capability. Although the jack is great for using non-Wi-Fi components like some of the light switches in my house to set the timers, I mainly use A Bluetooth wireless speaker in my vehicle, so I’m not really overly concerned with the speakers built into the phone. Anyone have any comments to say about his phones Bluetooth function?

The biggest differences are 3a has a bigger battery, no photo original size free photo storage, and has no waterproof. Right now if you can find a 3 XL vs 3a XL the price is only about $57 so I just went for the 3 XL for my phone.

Yes! The standard 3a has 3000 amp battery vs the xl having a 3700 amp. Even with the larger sized screen, the extra battery usage is quite minimal for standard use. Granted, all day play definitely increases usage, but most shouldnt be affected

If you just use normal stuff like social media...it's pretty good. But youtube and gaming would drain the battery quite a bit. But then if you're done watching youtube and come back to normal use...almost unnoticeable battery usage.

Sometimes it is perfectly fine, sometimes it keeps cutting over and over until I unlock the screen (temporarily fix, cuts again when it locks After 2min or manually) _OR_ by restarting the phone... :/
