$500 is a unpopular brand flagship or could be a top brand low range phone, or in googles case, mid brand, mid range, baring in mind my phone which was a flagship (pixel 6 pro) was 800ish a year after release. All about brand and perspective. You ain't gunna get modern features for the same price of a Nokia 3310 👀😂

I don't know why reviewers insist on saying things like, "sadly gorilla Glass 3". Gorilla Glass 3 is more scratch resistant than Victus 2, it's just a little less impact resistant.

@@0xVlad Gorilla Glass 3 is "top level glass." That's the point. Victus is actually more scratch prone than GG3, but has higher shatter Resistance. It's a trade-off. Worrying about having the latest version of glass is kind of silly...especially given that nobody can tell by looking.

@@maluminse6013 scratch resistance can be fixed with a screen protector, but not having good shatter resistance can't. Speaking from personal experience, I had a Pixel 3a, which had shit ingress protection, I had a screen protector, but one day I dropped it on concrete by accident, big cobweb at the top screen. Yes, worrying about the latest version of glass is unnecessary especially if you're comparing Victus and Victus 2, but still GG3 is a long way behind. They could have at least put GG5 (which is a good trade off between scratching and shatter) like the Xiaomis.

I'm not a fan of the huge logo in the center back and non symmetrical bezels. If you're going to give us bezels make them symmetrical. Move the log back to the bottom of the device and make it smaller.

Im actually looking for a new phone and learning that the 8a is $500 before tax is good. I love the Pixels. My Pixel 5 has been through it.... literally. I tested the limits on it. Had the battery changed, won't have to get my screen changed because this will be out soon. I fell in love with the Pixels. I have to say the Google Pixel 5 phone and the OnePlus 6 phone are the best androids I've ever owned.

If I'm understanding all the phones with quad or higher PD cameras, that means the image is a 16MP image. Not that that's bad or anything, and we've seen that more light = better image much more than higher MP. Really curious to see the camera tests when they come out.

Pixel 8 was just $499 the other month. Get the regular 8. Smaller bezels, faster charging (and reverse wireless charging), and a better performing CPU despite using the same CPU.
