Goose Island State Park Texas | Waterfront Camping That Exceeded Our Expectations

Heading north from Padre Island, we come across a state park right on the beach and calling our names. Welcome to Goose Island State Park. After using our Texas State Park Pass, our camping spot for the night is only $22, a step up from the wooded location that cost $20. With these prices, we had to ask for the beach camping. And this park is impressive. But first…..
Check out this Big Tree. Even though that’s the name, we weren’t expecting it to be that amazing, and big. The whole area is covered in trees that look perfect for climbing, so of course, we have to climb on them. But, let’s get back to the park.
There are trails, picnic benches, beaches, and wildlife that adds to the thrill of this park. An observation deck and even hall round out this great park with something for everyone. While we were there, it was quite windy, however, the fishing was plentiful and the temperature was perfect. We did sleep well that night too.
We wanted to let everyone know that we are able to make these videos so well due to the use of a DJI Osmo stabilizer. And it was edited using Adobe Premier Pro on an HP Spectre laptop. We’ve provided links below to anyone interested in getting the Osmo or computer for themselves. These are great tools to help make any video better. We loved those trees. By themselves, that was worth the drive. The park is great too. One of our favorites. But there are so many great parks in Texas, it's difficult to have a favorite one.

We wish we had more time to explore the rest of the state parks in Texas. This one was fun. Great camping spots and some choice fishing.
