Is castor better than synthetic. I feel that it’s a gummy one. That it may gumm up causing cylinder scoreing. I wish there was a side by side comparison of after math of two identical cylinders under load with the different oils to compare. I’m game to discuss if ya got time

why do the big box stores sell those little ready to go shots that mix 50:1 ? I've been using those and its been great, but ran out. Now I have castor 927 from my friend I got the go-peds from... funny thing is when I got the peds, they were so gummed up they needed to be cleaned down to the cylinder level just to run... im wondering what ratio the previous guy was using... are these oils different ?

Hey Derek I just got my first ped, it's a goped sport liquimatic, but in reality it's just a sport because the previous owner removed the torque converter. It has the G23LH motor and no modifications as of yet. So I'm wondering if the 1:35 mix I've been running is ok? It says on the engine I should be doing 1:25, but then other sources say 1:40 So I went with 1:35 think that'd be ok?

+Dajuan Houston As for carb setting it can range depending on elevation, temperature, etc... A good base setting i suggest is.... 1 1/2 low and 2- 2 1/2 high. Then adjust from there... Ill be making a tuning video here in the near future... as for the spark plugs stock plus are fine. I run automate 4194 i believe it is in my 46 motor. For the 30 motor Im not sure as i don't happen to have one. As for the vented cap its always good to have one as it help ventilate the pressure build up in the gas tank. Ill be doing a how to video on this soon as well.

Hey Derek, I have a brand new GTR46 and it recently started giving me idling issues. Now doesn't really want to start... It seems to flood very quickly for I see fuel leaking down the the exhaust gasket (using Jetpro Rhino). Please help me out. I'm in China and its my daily mode of transportation. Thanks buddy!

+Joseph Anzalone you can run 87 like I mention in the video but i recommend running 91 or 93 wouldd be ideal if you have that in your area.

Nope. You should run the same ratio weather you running 87, 91, or 93 octane. The ratio only changed when you running a high compression.

The ones he has are modified. You can buy a stock 1 on Ebay. Make sure they are the California Gopeds. I like the chain driven gopeds instead of the spindle driven & air tires instead of the hard tires. These are some of the websites to look for some parts for them. I have a stock bigfoot, it runs and everything but turns off as soon as I go fast. I noticed every time I un screw the gas cap it calms down a bit and let's me ride for a while. but I'm clueless on how to fix it?

+John Conner you may need to vent your gas cap. likely ur building up to much pressure. I will be doing a video on this soon. Very easy to do.

Hey man, quick question... Is the dominator pipe worth it on a GTR46R?

The dominator pipe is more of a mid range and top end pipe. If your not concerned about loosing some bottom end power it's a good pipe. If you looking for a good performing all around pipe I would suggest a jet pro rhino pipe.

+ronald valdes yes u can mount up a 78"" mount and run a gp460 motor. I did that on a Ped I called the Rocket Ped. Can't remember if I did any videos of it. I know I got pics of it somewhere... Side note: running that bigger heavy motor will make ur gar sport feel a bit lop sided... Just FYI. Have fun!

+Dajuan Houston im assuming the 29 motor is a CY meaning chung yang? if so then yes 24:1 is fine on both. If its a zenith motor then i would suggest 32:1

ada racing is almost another site I use. those are the only 2 out there that I trust. As for upgrading your super go quad 46.... I would suggest calling jet-pro directly and picking up a exhaust performance pipe for the sgq46. I think they are around 150. and worth every penny! Its a huge improvement over a stock muffler. i think the number is 800 4 jetpro Dino will answer the phone. You can let him know Derek Short sent ya. He will get ya taken care of ;)

LPS REEFER 40:1 or 50:1 depending what motor you have. Check your owners manual. It may be as much as 32:1 or 24:1. 24:1 is for the GP460 motor tho.

Yeer Gay I personally used Castor 927. I was happy with it. Any 2 stroke oil should work. But I’d recommend a premium oil.

Castor 927 is like lowest line from Maxima formula K2 is way better it's 100% Ester based synthetic where Castor 927 is just that it's a basic castor oil that is fortified with Ester so why waste money on Castor when you can just buy straight Ester and Ester is better for high RPM and Maxima will tell you that themselves
