So here we take a closer look at the new extension pole from GoPro called the El Grande. I think GoPro got it right and this is by far my new favorite extension pole. Hello, How did you connect the GoPro Karma to the ElGrande??? Is there a ring adapter to the Karma that can be attached to a GoPro sled with any GoPro click lock? Is the ring/tube adapter included with the Karma? Does the Hero8 Black still fit in the frame of the Karma Grip ?

It's been great so far. I've been using it with the Karma Grip and as you pointed out it feels sturdy and has no problem supporting the extra weight of the Karma. Now I want the Karma extension cable and the cell phone mount that you reviewed and demonstrated in another video.

Does nobody have any sound issues with this thing or does no one use the GoPro's sound? When I use this thing (unextended) I hear weird underwater, wobble noises. That noise seems to be coming from the extra poles inside the pole. I don't feel like buying that karma grip because I don't use my GoPro for professional use or does anyone think that thing is a must have? Can anybody relate to this?

+Liam R R H-S I don't think so it was not advertised as that. It only states that it's waterproof and can be used in water. I have not tested it but I'm sure it would sink

$60 for an extendable pole seems a bit steep. Monopods, GoPro sticks, selfie sticks etc. have been out forever. My only guess is that GoPro sells the Hero 5 with a small mark-up, and a huge mark up on their mounts.

+Ahmed Al-Harbi I guess it all boils down to what the main activities he'll be filming with your hero. Generally I would save a three-way is more versatile to start with you can do a lot with it. However if you are needing a pole because you're strictly filming yourself then the e grande is your best bet

@@AirPhotography I suspect that GoPro is trying to sell more of their new 3-way 2.0 tripod/grip/arm by preventing people from using the newer El Grande as a tripod stand. Still no reason to eliminate the wrist lanyard though, unless GoPro wants us to lose our El Grande in the lake. After five years of GoPro purchasing, the El Grande not having the lanyard and threaded port is my first disappointment.

You probably don't want to vlog with the karma grip anyways, the audio is bad. But you would just turn the pole around so that the camera is facing you. Not much demonstration needed lol.

Well, the gimble allows for more cinematic and professional footage. It keeps it from turning too abruptly and keeps it at a flat view. Even with the hypersmooth on the hero 7 it's still nowhere near as stable as the gimble.

i cant get to attach it to my hero 5. at 2:52 in the timeline you mention you use the buckle that comes with it to mount the camera. no buckle comes with it , just the pole in the plastic mould. dont know how get my hero 5 mounted on this thing. even the box the box says whats included : extension pole, swivel base with thumb screw and wrist lanyard. theres no buckle. please advise
