In this video, we are unboxing the brand new GoPro Hero 10 Black that was launched today. We do a quick walkthrough of the new features and specs and we run through the setup process of getting it connected to the GoPro Quik app so we can update the firmware. The new Hero 10 Black features a new GP2 chip, Hypersmooth 4.0, Higher frame rates, and resolution among several other enhancements and upgrades ... and yes the touch screen now seems to work as it should!

Great unboxing Shawn. The new Hero 10 seems like a solid upgrade over the Hero 9. I really like that they added the GP2 processor, the Hero 9 had a slow touch screen, especially when it first launched. I’m looking forward to seeing more of the Hero 10 on your channel.

black screen on the phone app while recording is a bit disappointing. sometimes I use phone as monitor when gopro is on my head, so I dont know what am i recording. :( Does it support usb gopro mic adapter? What codec is used for 1080p 30fps, is it still h265 as on 9? :( And it cost 781 USD in Bosnia :(

Hi Shawn! Waiting for your review too. There are a lot of things to cover but I would like to hear your evaluation about the dynamic range improvement now using the "Local Tune Mapping " in videos. Is that possible with this so tiny sensor? And battery life? Obviously recording at 120/240 fps will drain the juice faster. But a 10 min video (4k 60 fps, in GoPro 10) does compare with the same consumption of the GoPro 9? Thank you for your time.

I recently got the HERo 9, tbh the difference is not much imo, the hypersmooth already is insanely smooth so yeah, and the frames, wel 1080p60 for yt is perfect

Good Video. Note: 1) Bottom of Box = SN - Missed this. 2) You drop volume of your voice. At night, if I turn up the vol to hear you, you suddenly blast out speaking every now and then. Need to keep constant levels when talking or run audio through a LIMITER in post (ideally when recording) then match it back with GP Video in Vegas Pro 19 (PC) or Luma Fusion (iPad).

My biggest complaint about the nine is not the laggy screen, it is still usable, but the colour science. The colours are terrible. The MAX has much nicer colours. It looks like it maybe fixed in the new camera, what have other experienced?
