Hi! What is your audio settings for your go pro? Need some help here thank you so much!
@VDiaries5 жыл бұрын
The gopro hero 5 black has issue with the external mic. Sometimes the audio gets captured and sometimes the audio just isn’t there. If you get this issue then just turn off the quick capture mode on the gopro from the settings and you will get audio on each attempt. Starting the camera after that change is a two step process because you now need to start the camera using mode button and then start capturing but you ultimately have audio for all your recordings.

Great and instructive video. Just what I needed. But I have a question - why do you prefer to have the camera in front mouth, your garden? It places your camera so low that the screen will take the free view of the camera, the ideal view. Do you see what I mean? On top of the helmet you will have a free view for the camera. Wouldn't that be better?
@TollFreeTraveller5 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Jan. I see your point, but I find that placing the camera where I do allows the most realistic view for people watching - almost as if they are riding themselves. Placing it on top of the helmet changes that and also makes it more difficult to control, in my opinion.
@visheshsharma4285 жыл бұрын
Thanks Rohith. God send vdo for me as I’m riding soon and was trying to figure this out. You might use a waterproof casing with adapter hole for dust proofing. Sponge/bubble wrap may be used for blocking the holes. Throwing ideas. Cheers.

For waterproofing, you could buy an extra side door for the gopro and make a hole in it. You could then line the hole's edges with hot glue to make a perfect seal with the mic connector?
@TollFreeTraveller4 жыл бұрын
It needs to be removable as well because the mic jack is removed when the camera is used for anything else. That adds a level of complexity to the whole thing
@Delhiocity4 жыл бұрын
@@TollFreeTraveller yes. You wouldn't stick it in the hole. The hote glue is just to create a seal between the side door and the connector cable everytime it is connected. You can always switch back to the original side door if the camera needs to be submerged under water

Its a nice and clean setup. Wonder why GoPro went to the hassle of needing a adapter while they could have made it easier for just plug and play, may be it was the USB C port. Question dont we get USB C lav microphones? I mean the ones that will work with newer GoPro cams?

True, the earlier system was a lot easier. I've tried using direct USB-C connection, but the quality is a lot worse.
