I think it's really sweet when he gives her a spoonful of something to try. He looks like he is waiting for her approval and he looks so proud and flattered when she says, she likes it.

I love how all these cooking magazines say using a press is wrong, but here Gordon is using one.. I love my garlic press and will always use it.

I think the main argument is that it takes up space in kitchens. So if you had limited space/limited money to spend id agree in saying that there's better things to get for your kitchen. That said is it great at what it does? Yeah especially for when you want your garlic to disappear into your braise/sauce. But hey you do you. That's what cooking really is about. As long as you like it.

A garlic press is amazing if youre using a decent amount of garlic (or using it regularly). I tend to find a microplane grater works just as well and it can use it for other things (and its less tedious to try and clean) but to each their own. And for large volumes of garlic, a mini-blender is fantastic.

During the intro you can see the eyes of the chef being lively and sparkling. You can hear the joy in his voice. If it's the other way you can hear it as well. F, f, f,f et cetera. Seing the chef so relaxed and joyfull is great.

If it makes you feel better. That was only a few minutes of edited video. His kids are probably like yours for the next 24 hours & so on. This is full of edits & it makes sense his kids walking in could be scripted. Just like his TV show outbursts are all scripted. This a great video tho ::)

Oxtails $28 in Costco for two packs, the fennel about $2 each, pears $3-4 a pound. I believe the all the ingredients would be less than a $60. And it is for the whole family, can you imagine how much it would be going to the restaurant for 6 people.
