I have a feeling they let Ai sit with her Mom but the issue is it can’t be long because Shabani will become jealous he’s not allowed in as well. So they’d have to do it very sneaky (like feeding Shabani extra treat’s) where he can’t see but it maybe just to hard to let Ai stay very long. I’m sure it would make Ai more anxious herself if they make her leave to quickly while sitting with her MaMa NeNe. It a very difficult situation but it’s good they’re getting to see in on her and if she doesn’t make it they’ll allow them all to be with her body to help with their grieving process. It’s a tremendously sad situation and I imagine the zookeepers heart’s are breaking for NeNe and all members, especially everyday that NeNe doesn’t show improvement. The Shabani Troop and the zookeeper’s are all in my prayer’s during this difficult time, even through it’s part of life we wouldn’t be human if it was an easy experience. 🙏🏼♥️🦍♥️🙏🏼 God’s Blessing’s To All

Gorilla Groups grieve in their own way. If Nene doesn't recover, they need to see her body to grieve. It will not be a gentle process. Some in the group will act out angrily. But they need to go thru the process as close as they would in natural habitat.

I watch another zoo here in the United States and they feed them in their area where they are outside like this, why are they not providing them with food? They seem to need food and these gorillas are not eating!!!!!!!

@@charlottevarney7268 they get food both inside and outside. They don’t really have to forage for it though it’s just placed or tossed on the ground/floor. Another of my grievances with these zoo keepers. The gorillas should have to work to find their food so they aren’t bored most of the time.

Let them into the big room and convert a section for Nene whereby the other family members can see her or touch her through bars even?????? It’s clear that Nene and the whole troop is suffering now and the fact that the zoo allows this to continue is so disrespectful to her and the troop that it warrants an investigation into the zoo keepers and the zoos practices.

I’m sorry, with all due respect.. the keepers there have years of experience working with Primates and Shabani and family. Since I’m not there, I’m trying not to rush to judgement because I’m not able to see for myself. Also, how do you know she’s suffering? She’s getting Vet care and being closely monitored. If she truly were suffering I think a decision would be made. They care very much about Nene. I can’t imagine how difficult it is for them and trying to do what’s best for her. I really don’t think they are just letting her her suffer. Just my opinion.

The last time Nene was seen in the main room she was dragging herself around by her arms, her leg(s) were so injured from the fall where she landed on her side and head that she couldn’t walk. Yet the KZbinrs report was that she was recovering. She was actually worse. Also, I don’t care how difficult it is for them. If you are going to jail these animals it is their responsibility to do the humane thing for them. I could go on but I won’t.

@@mariapittman8970 they had Nene out among the rest of the troop but she did need to be separated because the others family members wanted her to move. They the zoo keepers took too long to separate her! Then they put poor old Nene on the bare cement floor with no hay or any thing in the glass room. She was crawling pathetically in front of the windows. The zoo keepers are not the best…we can all see it with our own eyes.

I have a feeling that Nene fractured her hip when she had her fall. I don't believe it's life threatening, then again... When the elderly do break their hip, death is always around the corner for us humans. As for Nene, she's a fighter.

Knowing how socially connected to family, it would be kind to let them have brief one on ones. It’s difficult not to see Nene or know her true status. She’s an old girl. They need intimate time to see for themselves. No amount of anti inflammatory drugs or rest can fix the end of life experience. Zookeepers, please consider it a hospice right for high order gorillas.

You can see Nene sitting by a post at 5:48 so that's at least a sign she is doing OK. The last video I think I saw of her she was curled up on the floor while her family members randomly ran past her and smacked her. THAT was hard to watch as you just knew she was feeling horrible and they were doing what gorillas do to get some kind of reaction/response out of her. I hope she recovers 100% soon!

The family had become very agitated about her and Nene was being abused(pushed, bitten, attacked). It lasted numerous days until zoo made decision to separate them. Also to be able to try to encourage Nene to eat.
