Father MOMOTARO ♂(2000/7/3)　
He is hesitant in new situations and is a loner.
His father died before he was born, and he had never spent time with a silverback.
He had already turned into a silverback by the time he was 10 years old.
He is struggling with unfamiliar child-rearing.
MOMOTARO's father is BIJU.
MOMOTARO's mother is MOMOKO
　　
Mother GENKI ♀ (1986/6/24)　　　
She is 14 years older than Momotaro and has a role to support the whole family mentally.
She has had a tumultuous and eventful life.
She has returned to her birthplace, Kyoto City Zoo.
She had never been blessed with a baby but after meeting Momotaro,
she had two sons.
She is a very maternal female gorilla.
GENKI's father is MAC.
GENKI's mother is HIROMI.
First son GENTARO, male (2011/12/21)
He was separated from his mother Genki soon after he was born.
Genki's milk production was not very good.
He was raised by his keeper for his first10 months.
Because of this, he is very fond of humans.
His face is so expressive, and everyone enjoys watching him.
Second son KINTARO ♂ (2018/12/19)
He is just very strong-willed and independent.
He has big eyes and long eyebrows.
The way he plays a lot with his brother Gentaro makes everyone smile.
We can't wait to see what kind of gorilla he'll become!

Reminds me of the days when Momotaro played with a young Gentaro almost non-stop. I love to go back and view the videos with Momo and Young Gentaro! ❤ Gentaro seemed so happy to have Dad's undivided attention. The size difference between Gentaro and Kintaro so noticeable yet they play as none exist. The relationship between the brothers is remarkable and fun to watch! Kudos to Gentaro for modifying his strength to be a playmate for his younger and smaller brother❣

Мне тоже показалось, что Момотаро в хорошем, игривом настроении решил, так сказать "тряхнуть стариной" и поиграть с детьми! А уж Кинтаро счастлив вдвойне! Думаю, что еще счастливее Генки, которую никто не задевал сегодня). Мира и гармонии хочется пожелать этой прекрасной семье!

Yes. I believe Momo was playing, lol. He was backing away, allowing the sons to come toward him. His head was down. Running with them n not showing teeth. And yes. I believe being near the door, shows a place to go to feel comfort if there were danger.❤

The boat. Genki should hide in there with her food, maybe get to eat in peace when the little one gets rambunctious. On the other hand she handles her baby quite well.

I have no doubt that Momo wanted to play. There were 2 times that he tried to coax Kintaro into playing -- at 1:57 and 5:02 when he deliberately reaches out to tweak Kintaro. And when he was running with them he was not trying to catch either of them like he does at times when he is angry. In another recent video i saw Big Daddy try to play with them on another occasion. Also, he and Gentaro seem to have come to a bit of a truce lately -- in another recent video i saw Gentaro walk past him at close distance and Momo reached out towards him in a non-aggressive way so i think the big old boy is just feeling silly.

I definitely think Momotaro uses his muscle strength more than Djeeko, Hoako and Shebani. Shebani is a close second. It's the enclosures that have more things to climb and swing on. Even though Momotaro troop has a small cage, they hang on that ceiling daily. I wish Djeeko and Hoako's troop gets more things to climb and swing on soon. The new addition to Djeeko's enclosure is most likely another platform, I guess we will see.

I know I was thinking the same. they have so much muscle because of it and fun! I couldn't imagine Kintaro in hoako's enclosure with all the electric fencing and no real climbing area.

I love that Kintaro drums a lot. He has since he was little. It's great to see Momotaro, Gentaro and Kintaro run around and play together. They truly love one another. ❤🦍

Yes. ❤ Oh, I was so excited to see today, Haoko actually playing with Sumomo, lol! I can't remember which video, but, they were playing on the steps.Su was playing with Riki first. It was when Riki was younger.😂

My coat is getting dust on it. 💁 When Momotaro does this, move frequently away from his sons while they're playing at full speed, it is simply because he doesn't want to get dirty while the boys rough play. 😂 it makes sense. It's true, Momotaro will not want to get dirty while the boys drag the blanket, and run around. I agree, he is unusual gorilla probably because he grew up with Momoko on concrete, and not dirt or grass 😊.

Tem pessoas que dizem que um gorila chamado Shabani é o mais bonito do mundo, chama atenção a sua beleza. Fui ver, sinceramente não achei não. O nosso Momotaro é muito, mas muito mesmoooo, mais bonito....
