I had a hard time reading the bible. My whole life. Out of nowhere, it clicked. I also started praying more and although I believed I surrendered myself to God, I did not. When you really surrender yourself to God, your eyes, heart and soul awaken. No matter what happens in this world, how bad things are and will get worse; I am at peace. I am not afraid. I feel only love. That's the key, that's the real deal. Complete surrender and trust, no matter what he throws at you in this world it is only a testing ground for the next great adventure. Heaven.

They all had ideas about what the messiah would be like and how he would bring about the kingdom of God. It threw people for a loop how Jesus was doing this, and it want what they were expecting. The leaders and Israel rejected Jesus. So yes, it’s implied that John the Baptist had some doubts. This is probably just due to the tribulations he was experiencing, being in jail and under threat of execution. @@smanojvr I will pray for you that you will not be lost in other religions. What proof do you have that your god is real. Have you experienced your god or have other people just said he is real and you've been raised in that religion. What are your spiritual gifts. If you cannot answer this question you don't know the real God. Is heaven and hell real. Yes they are and the devil is trying to lie to you and tell you that Gods not real. Have you heard your god speak to you. In being a Christian you don't have to give money you don't have to sacrifice because god died for everyone already, there's no forcing to do anything, it's all by choice to have a relationship, because that's what God is. He's plain and simple a relationship who has to offer more than the world can give you. He has a plan for you. Do you even have a God because the bible says God loves all no matter our faults or sins and you should thank him that you are alive because he gives you life, and you are not promised to wake up tomorrow. IF the devil can get you to say tomorrow, you have already lost because you have no idea that God wants you to wake up tomorrow. Nobody worships a God who is not real except the people who are corrupt and don't know about false gods and false prophets. I pray that God opens your eyes and you will see. I pray that God speaks to you really soon and that you will have an experience with him that you will know is only from him. Who do you think gave the first person ever life. Because if you say the monkeys I'm going to laugh. And who gave those monkeys life. I dare you to give God a chance and don't give him a little bit of you. Give him your all and mean it, because when you are hungry to know him he will answer you. Read the Holy Bible and it will answer anything you have to ask. @@waqasakbar2207Which Qu’ran, Mecca or Medina? Quran is definitively in it's non chronical order off the storyline from Old and New Testament! Starting with the issue of contradictions and abrogation in the Qu’ran, the Quran is broadly split in two periods.. The Mecca Quran was all about tolerance, tranquility, spirituality, acceptance, (influenced by the Christian teacher of Muhammad - Waraqah bin Naufal?) and after Waraqah died 610, Muhammads Rule in Medina later the Quran sadly exposes hate raid and violence.. Since many scriptures where taken from the Torah and placed in pieces, it is almost impossible to decipher such expressions without looking at the Torah like the story of King David vs the shifted meaning of Surah S'ad in Quran! Also Ironically Quran redirects and points to Torah and Bible also greately praises and underlines Jesus, Mary, Holy Spirit, basic biblical events etc in many verses.. Main roots of Islam in itself is paganism and rituals like in Hinduism pilgrimage, Wearing ihram, (Haj)-going around temples 7 times (Circumambulation),kissing Shiva Stone, Tasbih (Hindu Mala), Washing rituals, bowing - prostration Namaz! Namas(kar),Namas(te) etc.. also known in pre islamic period which mohamm Jesus said: “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men…” Matthew 6:5 Jesus said: “But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen..” Matthew 6:6 ” And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.” Matthew 6:7 Everyone desides for themselves, So if you read Quran you will find Muhammads Allah or end up manifested the faith to the true God of Bible!..

I'm also part of the John-the-Baptiser-wasn't-neutral camp. In Matthew 11 I would argue that John cleverly sends out his disciples to ask Yeshua (Jesus) if he is the "erchomenos", (the expected One), so they can hear and see FOR THEMSELVES that they have a new Rabbi now. The "expected One" truly has arrived! Yeshua, in the same chapter, infers that John is an exceptional Prophet who fulfilled the scripture (Malachi 3:1)... there is nothing neutral in that. Everything before this moment points to John's complete faith that Yeshua is the Messiah. That being said, I LOVE what the Bible Project is doing... phenomenal stuff!

18John’s disciples told him about all these things. Calling two of them, 19he sent them to the Lord to ask, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?” 20When the men came to Jesus, they said, “John the Baptist sent us to you to ask, ‘Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?’ ” 21At that very time Jesus cured many who had diseases, sicknesses and evil spirits, and gave sight to many who were blind. 22So he replied to the messengers, “Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy a are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. 23Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.” 24After John’s messengers left, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swayed by the wind? 25If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No, those who wear expensive clothes and indulge in luxury are in palaces. 26But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. 27This is the one about whom it is written: “ ‘I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.’ b 28I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.” Luke 7:18-28

What an absolutely brilliant video on the first half of matthew. Nothing short of genius. In all my years of reading this book I have never noticed these patterns before & the intentionality behind them. Absolutely love your work. Thank you!

Love this series. Makes the Bible plain to understand. This is similar to David Pawson's through the bible series but way cooler in animated form. Both are complementary. In every generation God preserves his witness.

So beautiful and helpful for today`s people - having not much time/patience to find all these information all by themselves and give up too early....It`s aesthetically beautiful as well and does not exhaust people ... Huge THANKS!

Many people are content with their basic understanding of the teaching of God's word and feel no need to question that understanding. However, some, through thorough search of the Scriptures have realized the need to amend their views It is well known that truth stands under scrutiny and our faith will only be strengthened by such an examination for,in, the words of Paul, " a person should....keep testing whether you are in the faith" (2 Corinth.13:5)

I am so glad I stumbled upon your videos and they are now showing up on my KZbin recommended videos to watch. I love how your presentations break it down so that a simpleton such as myself can more easily understands what I’m reading in scriptures. Your videos/resources have become a tool/commentary for my own bible study. Thank you for your creativity and hard work in putting these together for us. May your videos continue to be a blessing to us all.

John the Baptist should be listed under positive acceptance of Jesus. He asked his followers to ask if Jesus was indeed the one they have been waiting for, or should they look for another one for their own sake. For them to see Jesus works themselves. John the Baptist new Jesus was the son of God even before being born. When Mary visited Johns mom while they were pregnant. John Chrysotom and Theophylact have great commentaries on the Gospels. They explain it very well.

Okay well I just finished reading Matthew chapters 1 - 13 before seeing this video and I didn't notice a SINGLE thing they mentioned here until they drew my attention to it! I think I had better flip my study method around and watch the videos first before reading the scripture so that my heart will pickup up what it's supposed to. Thanks so much to the Bible Project. Every time I watch a video and listen to the narrators I think how wonderful it must be to have found your God-given calling and see how powerful it is when used for His glory. I hear a ,"Well done my good and faithful servant." coming. : )

TheMJT515 I think they're referring to the time John was in prison and he basically asked Jesus "Are you the Messiah we've been waiting for?"
@plescagaby38057 жыл бұрын
scrubs4everr exactly this was a moment of weakness for Jhon. but all his life he knew that Jesus is Messiah I mean he did more than anybody else.
