It not only what you say it’s the warmth in your words that bring me closer to understanding. I am Greek Orthadox and I love you like a brother in Christ Jesus. Truth is alive and it goes beyond the noise level beyond human understanding. The fruits of truth save the soul at any price.

I was born again and it was a miracle as I could sense Jesus dying for me at that moment and my priorities in life immediately changing. But to grasp that Jesus as a person is all I need took a few months longer since being born again. When I knew Christ is all I need, that's when I felt the overflowing, bubbling out feeling and the Lord will be with me whether to defeat anything or endure anything according to His will. Definitely there is a gap between being born again and '*beholding*'

Abba Father, sometimes there are days I would love to have more certainty about my position to you, in you, in line with 1 john 3. I refuse to believe I belong to the devil, I have too much love, courage, sanity and honesty, knowing this must come from you Abba Father! Help me heavenly father to know how to get every devil out, in the name and blood of Christ, putting every devil that wants to steal my love God gave me under the feet of Christ, amen and hallelujah! i don't think having a sense of wonder or be in awe while suffering is or should be the acid test for being Christian. like one can be thankful that one has God to hold onto when everything is going to pieces but i think it really is best to be honest with God and wrestle with one's faith instead of wow i'm in awe even though i'm suffering. my experience is that wrestling with faith and holding onto God is more emotionally genuine than me denying how i feel. God is wonderful and gives you hope but i don't believe that you have to feel wonder or awe at God when everything has gone to pieces. but rather come to God with honesty and ask Him to answer you and that you're seeking Him and put your trust in Him. sometimes it's hard to feel wonder or awe when you are fighting despair. why is there even an acid test for believers and the others who just attend church? how can anyone know except God who is or is not Christian and that person him/herself if they are honest?

Wow. I usually enjoy these sermons, but this one makes me feel hopeless. The religious man and the Christian are the same person. The Christian has experienced the privilege of a real relationship, the religious man puts forth the same effort, yet wanders around in the dark. How sad. It sort of sucks that we can’t earn Gods grace. It’s freely given to us all, but only some make this leap. Only God can open our mind.
