Got a Mysterious Engine Code # on Yamaha R3

It's actually a faulty o2 optimizer. By plugging the factory sensor back in your basically eliminating the ability to autotune. Which is fine if you're already tuned to where you want to be. I'm currently going through the same thing and dynojet no longer uses the optimizers. The kits now come with instructions to put a second bung into your exhaust. I'm assuming to eliminate error code issues. I ordered an optimizer off ebay. If that doesn't work I'll be getting another bung welded into my M4

Shoulda just removed the seat rather than going through the trouble of removing the coolant reservoir. The instant I saw the cable sleeve I knew exactly where I needed to look lol

Hey man been watching your videos for a while this morning with bike wouldn't start. I have no error codes in the fuel pump seems to kick on. I checked all the fuses and connectors the dash lights up but it gives me a high beam and a turn signal indicator and my TST Industries tail light is for some reason yellow now. Hope you have any ideas on what my issues could be thanks in advance

could be the starter Relay, check to make sure the cables are are secure there and the fuse. you mention that your tail light is lit in a yellow color? does it stay on that way?

@@ACProductions77 i checked all fuses and wires. And yes my tail light is yellow I've never seen it that way before.

@@farmfreshsquid1008 was the tail light wired correctly could be that the tail light wire from your bike is connected with the turn signal wires of the the tst rear light, or it could be a short on the circuit board of the tail light check with tst see if they can send you a replacement.

i got 42 instead of 24 and before my speed wasnt showing i fixed my cable and speed is showing but engine light and 42 is still on any solution?

42 is associated with speed sensor, clutch switch, and gear position switch, so verify they are operating normally as well. If the ECU sees the bike in gear and clutch engaged = no starter, for example. The ECU should reset when the faults are corrected.

I have had my PCV since the bike had 200km on it now when it hit 9000km the light came on the O2 sensor is not plugged in the PCV deletes it

what year is your R3? I'm now getting this code after doing a bunch of mods which included a full exhaust. In my application, I plugged the O2 port, and disconnected the sensor from the harness. I have an ECU flash that removes the O2 sensor, but still getting this code.

Jason Blancas mine is 2015. If you didn’t use a jumper plug for the o2 sensor then the check engine light will come on and u will get the same code 24. Only way to turn off the light will be to remove the led inside the gauge cluster which is way to much work. Most simple way to cover it would be to place small piece of black tape over the check engine light if you planning to keep this setup for a while.

Thanks, mines is also a 2015. I know that the PCV comes with a jumper, so I may look into finding a solution to jump the connector. As an interim, I did plug the sensor back into the harness and the exhaust. The check engine and the error are still present. Guessing some riding around would clear the error? its raining, though, and the bike is no longer street legal at this point. is there another way to clear the error, such as resetting the diagnostic?

Hey man. I just change to full system and done with tuning FID. The enjine light (code24) only come when i ride above 185kmh. After that i stop and turn off engine for 30 mins then start back that light turn off automatically. But the problem is every time i ride above 185kmh the light turn on. Any suggestions?

you need to get your system tuned on the dyno, do you have a power commander on your bike if no then i suggest getting one or you can get your ecu flashed.

the #24 code refers to a bad o2 sensor so you would have to replace the o2 sensor that is made for your motorcycle

hello, i own an 2020 mt 03 and my engine light turned a week ago and wouldnt turn off. i installed an ebay full system exhaust a month and half ago and im not if its because of that. any tips?

@@samissa9714 you may just need to get your bike tuned to the new exhaust system as now the parameters are now different from the stock setup

it would have to be a defective sensor somewhere, you may have to get your bike serviced

check to make sure your kill switch is not in the off position

mine gives me a 19 error code .. and wont start the engine .. what i do is switch the key off then on again .. does the job .. for a while .. then do it all over again ..

ba ecchi code 19 will be your side stand switch, it could be faulty and need to be replaced.
