Just the simple fact that we are witnessing all 4 generations of kpop on 1 stage from the 1 company that started it all is mindblowing enough. This is what kpop is, innovative, forward thinking, boundary breaking and experimental. SM represents best what kpop really is and they have NEVER strayed away from their origin, they just have been building uppon it constantly. I am sorry, I know this is about the group, but the more you think about and dive into SM entire concept and creative past, you can’t but be in awe at how incredible it all is. I don't want to compare but i can't help seeing how BoA is pretty much like the Taemin of the group while Taeyeon is ironically like Baekhyun lmao and when i see Karina singing the first part of the song and dancing as the center, she really gave Taeyong vibes. i'm genuinely curious how boa adjusted to being in a group since she has always been solo and the centre of attention of her performances. but i can definitely see that she gave a lot of direction for this group because everything was so well balanced. the outfits, the set, the choreo , camera angles and lighting were all perfect. !!!! i loved each of their outfits, it suited their body types and overall as a group wasn't too distracting.

Also i loved your reaction and it definitely was honest. I saw some reactions where people that new of the one's joining this group actually didn't like because they expected more but it was actually a good song. I get it lmao they kept it simple the company has done more but, boA did not have to even do this, also wendy is back, they all are killing it, the song is so difficult to sing not a lot of people can hit those notes .... i guess some people don't understand the details enough to appreciate this song. Yes, we can say this all we want and I will stand behind that 10000% HOWEVER, The Marketing is CRUCIAL and Very Important for a couple of Reasons: 1) All of these women are staples! Even Karina and Winter believe it or not! Their nicknames within the company is SM’s Future Wild Card and The Daughter of SM’s Yoo Young Jin! So from my mom, Queen BoA to the Hall Of Fame Pioneers of Taeyeon and Hyoyeon to Dynamic Legends of Seulgi and Wendy.. It goes without saying how many old-young/og-newer listeners they will reach. 2) Unlike SM’s SuperM, none of these women have to go to the Military! So there is no hiatus involved!! Obviously they have their own individual and/or group schedules but specifically for Girls On Top, an infinite of promotions awaits. 3) [More of a Concept Theory & How I Would Enjoy Seeing This Play Out]. If not aware, before the actual performance starts, there is an intro played that resembles 2012 EXO’s official debut -MAMA intro scene. (Not the opening monologue but the hooded cloaks etc) and I saw some people on Twitter saying these girls are the “source” EXO was praying to for guidance. However, it would be better if we look at it a different way & I hope and pray SM does it this way if they add a storyline concept within the SMCU Kwangya theme. So Lee SooMan stated since 2012(Exo debut) he’s been working on Kwangya and The SMCU. So Let’s say that MAMA is the creator of KWANGYA as well!! So EXO are obviously MAMA’s galactic superheroes that travel the universe to save the world etc etc.. but WHAT IF , MAMA had set up some warriors to Protect KWANGYA?!! I believe these warriors that protect Kwangya is GIRLS ON TOP! Now of course this is just my interpretation and theory.
