In February, Southern Ukulele Store put up a video with a green Super Baritone and I so fell in love with it. Still in love with those! The bluesy sound grabs hold and won't let go. It's number one on my wish list!

That is a really great instrument! I had never heard this style of instrument before, it is not quite my taste to want to play, but it is so darn cool! It just killed that blues riff you played. Thanks for reviewing something like this, it was great fun:-)

Steve makes really superb instruments. I was lucky enough to have him make me have a tenor sized uke with a short scale Baritone neck. Opted for a traditional shaped body in tobaco burst with a slotted neck. I love it. It's a thing of great beauty as well as a fantastic instrument. :)

Thanks for the review!! I have a tenor resonator--a Pohaku......perhaps someday I'll have a Beltona??? I take a look at the Beltona website from time to time. Reluctant to order but if I see one pop up that strikes my ukebone.....I'll likely push the order button right quickly. Congrats on another year milestone!

Phwoar. That is a beast! I really crave a resonator for old-fashioned blues music. It sounds like the cheaper ones aren’t worth it though, and there’s not much that’s mid range, so something high end is an aspiration (a Beltona would be beautiful). That said, have you ever looked at the Wailing brand of resonators? I haven’t seen any reliable reviews.
@GotAUkulele
@GotAUkulele 2 жыл бұрын
I've reached out to Wailing to try to get one for review, but he's never responded - sometimes they do if potential buyers say they want to see me review one (hint hint!)

Firstly, beautifully hand crafted instrument and worth every penny for that alone. Not the sound I’d go for, but if that’s someone’s thing Xmas came early :) A serious question though. If your going to go that big why do people not just get a guitar.

Yeah, what an instrument! Stretches the definition of "ukulele," especially with the metal strings . . . more like a tenor guitar with a wider nut. Yet, so what. Lots of music to be made on this bojammer.
