Jasmine is an old folk song. In China, they respect their tradition very much, so this song is also respected. Even though it is simple, it is sung on by superstarsvarious important occasions. Dimash was probably the only foreigner who was asked to sing this song several times. It's an honor.

Thank you. 'Jasmine Flower' is a Chinese song that can only be sung if you have permission from them. Celine Dion sang it and Vitas did. Dimash has sung it at least 6xs, and each one done in a different manner. He has done at least 1/2 as duets, one an anime type character. The Chinese love Dimash and invite him to all events possible. You should check out the other performances of 'Jasmine Flower', they are kind of amazing. :) Dimash has sung in at least 16 languages, multiple genres, along with all of the music videos, etc. etc. etc. Have you heard his Armenian song yet? If not, you really need to! Whenever he has a concert in any country, he tries to sing a song in the language of that country. Ps, watch one of his love concerts, not necessarily to react to, ‘cos they’re 3+hours long, but just for your own enjoyment, coos they are so bloody good. He is a showman, a performer and obv the best vocalist in the world! His concerts are powerhouses of professionalism! Arnau, Moscow, Almaty (his home country stadium concert) are all excellent.

6:13 the problem is that after I AM SINGER, Dimash stayed in China for 2 years and he was invited to do many many different things that are not easy to find if you dont know those excist. many of them are on chinese TV channel

I have read in other reactions that the Chinese people really cherish this song and don't let just anyone have permission to sing it. I think he is up to 16 languages now. He is fluent in Kazakh and Russian, speaks well in English and is learning Chinese. He adds other languages by sometimes learning a folk song in the country he is performing and giving it to the audience as a surprise. Dimash sang Jasmin several times and each is quite different to the other. Today he sang it at a Film Festival which is broadcasted on Chinese TV tomorrow. I’m curious how it will be arranged this time. Wait till you see his The Storybof One Sky(Almaty)now that is a truly stunning and vocal pyrotechnic performance. His Neverland is quite fun to watch as he is like a Tigger bouncing around on stage and having fun. There is one one past or present, that reaches to Dimash’s vocal abilities and precision and clarity! Dan Vasc come (Amazing Grace and Music of the Night) comes close though. Still Dimash and HuaHua are my top two! Forestella has become my favorite group!

Dimash can speak his native Kazakh (obv), Russian, his English is now pretty goood and he’s learning Mandarin Chinese, but he can sing in 12 + languages, including the ones above, plus Spanish, Italian, Ukrainian, French, Japanese and I actually can’t remember the others, but my dude, 12!!

For want of accuracy, I believe that Dimash has only acknowledged 7 instruments officially… doesn’t mean he hasn’t “played with” more instruments, just he is immensely modest (more so than any of his dears are for him!) concerning his talent.

@@thewarriorforever fair enough… not trying to be troublesome- I’ve seen videos of Dimash playing things he doesn’t usually play (like a cello in one video- as a cellist myself, I would be thrilled if he “officially “ played cello. Many musicians love to try other instruments with varying degrees of success. For example, despite having played violin for a year when I was very young, my main instrument has always been cello… when I get my hands on a violin, I sound much better when I invert the violin and play it like a cello! Dimash does much better than average no matter what he plays and sings! Truly a phenomenal talent and nothing takes away from that… the truth is phenomenal enough without exaggerating at all! Cheers and no offence nor disrespect intended!

It is not difficult or uncommon to sing in languages you don't speak. Dimash is learning (and doing well with) Mandarin. Same with English. He speaks Kazakh and Russian. If he speaks anything else, I don't know about it, but someone on here will. As a former opera student, I can guarantee you he can sing in any language that exists. All that's needed is someone to read the lyrics to you until you have the pronunciation down pat. ROFL You just called Dimash the Swiss army knife of vocalists.
