Not sure if you'll ever see this, but I recently (as in today) made a corset belt following roughly your tutorial and it was exactly what my outfit needed to finish it off after making the skirt and blouse and wondering what was missing. Your video was super easy to follow, informative, and exactly what I needed, thank you.

Im definitely going to try this for a cosplay outfit. You could do the boning like they do in regular corsets. Before sewing the trim next to the seem @ 2:20 sew the boning in & use the trim to hide the stitching. Do the same thing at the ends (leave space) so you dont have to struggle with fitting it in later. When you get to 5:12 connecting the front/back waist ties, the boning will be there & just do as the vid says. At 5:48 you'll basically seal everything in place so the boning wont come out. You'll have 4pcs of boning but that's just my thinking. I like security lol. If this makes sense.

I ab so lutly love that belt. I am going to add a corset waistband to a skirt I will soon make. I just wanted to see someone make one like I am, so thank you very much for this tutorial!!!. Mine won't be the beautiful black you made and I hope I like it as much as I do yours. I have ivory and red toile (cotton) and some homespun matching cream (natural) color for the waistline/corset . I will (of course) add boning and now I may add some trims to the waistline part. I love that so much !

I don't have nor do I know where to locate interfacing in my country, is it necessary? Or is there an alternative method?
@_Sasa_Time3 жыл бұрын
It does make it look nicer, if not the belt will roll/wrinkle/look crushed. You could use thick cotton like canvas instead.
@LSV.Delight7 жыл бұрын
I'd like to buy it from you..
