I love what you said about not having to dress Goth or wear makeup to be Goth. I met my first goth friend in 1989 when I was 16, and we bonded over a love of The Cure, lol. I have always loved Goth music, and mostly wear black or dark colors and love the style of dress, but felt like i would be criticized if I were dress Goth (I am black and have albinism, so I already stick out as being different). I’m 49, and I still love the culture, music, and dress. I’m gradually adding clothing pieces to my wardrobe, I figure hell, why not, and if not now, then when? Love your channel and your point of view!

I needed to be traumatized to become a goth (I was wait... I am counting... 16 years old) but I've loved rock and metal since I was 6 or something like that and mostly listened to gothic-rock. Luckily my life is happy now and this is because I am a goth. The subculture kept me sane when I had hard times. Btw, I just want to say thank you. Your videos are just fun to watch, you have this dynamic. I love any kind of couples on YT who make actual content and not just click baiting viewers.

Hey thanks for your kind words! I edit in final cut Pro and I mostly just taught myself from years of doing lyric videos for songs and then editing stuff for my older channel. I am a Demonia person all the way. I probably have 25 pairs, some of which I have had for 10+ years. And it's not like they sit on a shelf, I wear these boots. I have traveled all over the U.S in them, danced for 12 hours in them at festivals, trecked many miles..I do tend to switch between different pairs depending on outfit, mood, weather and activities planned. Obviously, I don't wear my velvet buckle boots when it's raining.

Personally for me it wasn't 1 singular song. I'd heard and enjoyed lots of goth bands growing up and listened to some of them regularly, I just found that as I got out of my teens I enjoyed that fashion more than any others I'd previously worn, and due to that I started to relisten to bands that I'd liked my whole life but explore their catalogues deeper and then through that I found different artists and it just kept spiralling like that till I got here 😅 thanks for your question! - Conor

We had a wedding where you dressed for your heritage in the medieval/ viking age. I made my husband's Indian archer outfit and finished it the night before. We had an eat when you want buffet and spit roast meal, with a bunch of fires spread around and a bell tent. Was super cool. There were traditionally inspired costumes from Scandinavia, Scotland, the Philippines, Borneo, China and England. Having a wedding that defies the new expectations is the greatest. No photographer but we did have a photo booth. Unlimited prints so guests could do their own photos and take them home, leaving one copy for our guest book. Can recommend. It was really interesting to hear you history. Thanks for sharing 😊

I could tell you both some stories that would make you a believer, but I won’t because I also think you have to experience these things for yourself first hand before it will actually change your mind. I do wanna add that I wouldn’t advise actually playing with a Ouija board. I have 1 that I bought for the aesthetic because I liked it since it glows in the dark but I have never even taken it out of the box out of fear. I worked for Demonia for about 6 years in a former life before I started my own business I still have PTSD from the experience. Although they had some nice styles the quality can be hit or miss. Also their sizing is all over the place. Some shoes are made on Japanese last while others are American. For quality definitely New Rock! For a fast fashion style that you know is not going to last only then I would suggest Demonia.

Bought a pair of newrocks two months ago, they showed up after two, three weeks and it was the wrong size despite me emailing customer service asking them to change it prior to them shipping it out. Had to pay to ship them back so that they could exchange for the right sizes. Said they have to make the right size from scratch bc they didnt have it in stock. They just this morning told me they've begun making them. So i have no opinion on them yet. Demonia boots are essentially costume boots, take it easy on them. However i have an amazing pair of shoes and a pair of sandals and both of them i wear regularly with no issue. Their canvas boots also hold up well. I think it just depends on what sort of footwear you get from them.

Tbf I think It wasn't until secondary school that I realised that all of my misfitingness was a genre of people. My mum does tarot readings & is a firm believer, however I personally am open to the idea of the supernatural but until it's definitely proven one way or the other, given my only fear is dying and it being nothingness, so I'd love any confirmation positive or negative for an afterlife. Why didn't you just unplug the TV lol. I made the mistake of becoming a hermit after college trying to fix that now but it's a climb relearning to socialise irl again. If everyone who was Goth had to go full Goth all the time there would be no goths as it would cost to much xD just do your interpretation of Goth is the best way. 27 and I've only just been able to afford a pair of docs xD I'm a size 11 1/2 with awkward feet so I had to wear work boots from year 8 onwards couldn't imagine trying to wear platform boots xD

Have Demonia's, can confirm they fall apart pretty quickly (just lost my valor 280s zippers are basically ruined, and the heal on my grave digger 250 had to be super glued AND has 2 screws holding the platform on, they're my favorite and my first pair hence why I'm keeping them going as much as I can, my only other pair is a pair of the 214s in White, which I rarely wear), but I just bought a pair of New Rocks as a birthday gift at the end of November, and from everything I heard so far, they hold up pretty damn well. If my valor's eventually bite the dust, I think I'll rip all the spikes off them and add them to the new rocks. Especially since I paid for some of the extra rivets I put on myself. As for my Grave Digger 250's, whenever those meet their maker(hopefully not anytime soon), I'll buy another pair just because I'm in love with them that much. I'll try to remember to post an update or two on my experience with the new rocks whenever they eventually come in from the Ukraine. Bought them second hand for around $150 USD and they're honestly in really good shape from the photos I've seen thus far. Also bonus: I own 5 pairs of Dr Martens in different styles, can confirm they hold up pretty well, but apparently if you can find a decent pair from the 70's/80's they hold up tremendously well and even after taking decades worth of beatings, apparently can be restored decently. Definitely recommend at least one pair as a must. I also have the Blackcraft Edgar Boots and seeing as I can't find any reviews of them yet lemme post my mini review of them so far for anyone wondering. My Edgar Boots from Blackcraft: They're made entirely of a weird foam like structure despite being claimed as vegan leather? Honestly they feel more like a croc(yes those ugly bastards) material with a sole similar to the ones on most Demonia's, except somehow the soles feel alot more durable. While they feel cheaply made and light, I've been wearing them almost daily and put them through alot. I work at Walmart and am on my feet all day(fresh cap Goth) and I do alot of moving and lifting and pulling, and they hold up really well. Where if I wore any of my other boots they'd be scuffed, scratched, or even in the case of my 250's, separated at the heel, these boots take a punch and actually barely have a scratch. Now I know the controversy with blackcraft and how they're like the Aeropostale of goth slapping their logo on everything, and these are no exception, but they actually look really nice, fit snug, but not too snug, are moderate on the feet all day, and surprisingly hold up rather well for the price. Plus with the black and gunmetal accents, it's actually really nice on the eyes. Currently, I recommend them, but I still say a good pair of Docs will do you wonders, just be sure to wear them religiously for at least few days to a week to break them in. But I guess that goes for any boot really. Anywho, hope this helps some people and don't be afraid to explore your options, doesn't have to be name brand, I've actually found amazing goth shoes/boots while thrifting but alas, never in my size.

Update Valor demonias, completely got obliterated. My gravedigger 250s and 214, still going strong surprisingly. And now I'm buying my second pair of new rocks, literally donating plasma to he able to buy them.
