What I can't get over is that horn section. Not only do they play their instruments well; they do so while DANCING vigorously! To play that well sitting down is amazing enough; to do so while dancing is beyond words-wow... 😀😀👍👍

This came on the store speakers at Home Depot tonight while I was shopping. I was dead tired, my ass was dragging, but as soon as these vibes hit my ears, I noticed the load on my tired old body began to lift, and pretty soon I was steppin' lively and gettin' down to the beat. I felt better! Thanks, KC!

Because KC and the Sunshine Band are Disco/Funk not rock roll: Disco/Funk never became popular enough or reached the same amount of international popularity as rock did for it to have its own Hal log fame. Disco died pretty early, came in 1978 and died 1979.

@Polish Hero Welecki I would say five number one songs, several others in the top 10, and over 100 million albums sold would constitute being pretty darn popular. Disco did not start out in 1978. It was more like 1974. It was not dead by 1979. It lasted a couple more years. John Lennon was a fan.

That's what made it great. We have to try to do the same in thing in everything we do and make things great again. They can continue spreading evil but we don't have to feed into it. Keep feeling like they were in that video and there evil won't win

I was obsessed with this song when I was 11, and I had only heard, not seen, this brass section utterly. Slaying. It! The low, rumbling piano part along with those layered brass entrances are so dramatic! And KC with his dimples and gappy grin.

Lol I almost had to do a double take on your name to make sure it wasn't me who had written this long ago, because 💯 on all that.. well up until the bit about kc's dimples at least😅 Same age, same impression. Besides the dimples of course 😂 I couldn't believe how those horns just cut through and forced me to move. Still has the same effect all these years later. But btw you said you had only heard, not seen, how'd you know about them dimples??

Sick infectious bass line, with BEYOND stellar horns - look at them dancing, as they use their perfectly Synched horn-hits as more percussion under the drums...And lookit Harry with his '77 handsome...And the two vocals-dolls classin' up the joint behind him...I'm yo' boogie man...Ah-ha...Gold!
