My Mom's Family is from Hungary, sadly I never had the opportunity to meet the members of my family who came to America. But when I watch you Oma, I can feel the love you have for sharing your recipes and our wonderful heritage. Thank you so much, I love your show and I love you! Oh, and I love that you wear the house dresses, my Mom always wore them too. Perhaps someday I will make it to Hungary, and find my roots. Until then...I will hopefully learn how to cook like a proper Hungarian Woman!

It is such a treat to watch and listen to Oma. It's adorable that she looks off camera to her son who is making the video and has this devilish smile. It's like watching my mother cook. All the wonderful Hungarian dishes that I grew up with. You ROCK, Oma. Love your shows. MUAH

Hi there Oma! My family came to Milwaukee as displaced persons from Yugoslavia via Austria in 1955, I was three years old. I love watching you cook all the good dishes my mother made. There are a couple of things I wondered about regarding some of the details of the cations dishes. Now I know, thanks to you Oma! I have relatives in Leamington Ontario and the surrounding area. I spent some time there as a kid, have fond memories of the Canadian side of the family. My mother's side all went to Canada, my father's side ended up in Wisconsin. We originally came from Hrastovac,Yugoslavia, known as Eichendorf before the war.

Ed, your mother - "Oma" is an absolute treasure and I feel very fortunate indeed to have found your channel. It's a special and wonderful thing you have done for your "extended KZbin family".... you and your family could have kept Oma and Her story all to yourselves......instead whether by choice or chance, you've allowed us to share in her story with you. No matter what's cooking, Oma brings a smile to my face and fills my heart with limitless joy. Thank you for sharing Oma and her story.

Scott White Hey Scott, Thank you so much for your beautiful message. My Mom and I are always so amazed at all the comments she/we get. I read them all to her, and many, like yours, bring tears to her eyes. I wanted to have my Moms recipes to pass down through the generations so she will live on when she's gone and as I shared them on KZbin, the subscribers and comments just kept coming and coming. And the thought that my Mom has brought such joy to so many people is an added bonus to how and why this all started. Thank you again for such a wonderful message. And thank you to anyone else reading this who have commented on my Mom and her cooking.

Oh Liebe Oma, My father was born in Budaers, Hungry, just outside of Budapest, Janos Ritter and my mother was born in Stuttgart, Irmgard Spizbarth-Ritter, thank you so much for these beautiful videos, I love remembering my Oma, Magdalena Ritter. I grew up eating all of the amazing meals that you prepare. My Oma and my father made the most amazing homemade Apfel and Mon Strudel, pulling the dough over a table and never ripping it. So many amazing memories thank you for sharing.

Lost my mom many years ago. She was born in Turkeva Hungary but lived in Budapest's. She made Goulash and many other dishes for our family. I was young when she passed away but I remember some of her recepies. Not 100% sure of all the steps & ingredients for the goulash. Watching your video and I'm going to try making it next week. Love your accent which reminds me of my mom. Thank you for helping all of us cook the traditional way. A big thank you from Beautiful Toronto Canada!

Hi Oma, I grew up in Hungary and have been living in Germany for 4 years. Therefore I am familiar with most of your recipes coming from both countries. They are good representatives of the Hungarian and German kitchen. I really like when you use Hungarian and German food-names while speaking English. I love your show and especially the way you present it (with your son). It was always a special occasion in my family when the Oma cooked. We all felt her love in each bite of the food she made. Your videos and the way you cook to your children bring me back those beautiful memories. I wish you all the best and good health. PS: If I could have a wish, please make Húsleves to your fans:)

As we age, our brain often doesn’t readily serve up the knowledge we have. It’s frustrating and younger people can’t relate to the issue well. Oma is amazing for her age - there are many elders unable to even walk. I love the videos and the relationship she has with her children - such warmth and love and adorable sense of humor. I wish I could be there to prep all her foods for her...oh yes, and join for dinner too! I will try this delicious soup recipe very soon! Thank you Oma.
