When you use RealSalt, it's not the same as using that nasty processed stuff called iodized salt. It's packed with its original minerals and other micronutrients but it also doesn't give as much of that "salt" taste as normal salt. :-)

socalprepper21 Thanks for your question. You can actually grow a hundred pounds of potato from just 1 pound. There are a LOT of KZbin videos that will show you how! It's so easy and AWESOME tasting too!

Where can I get the powdered cream cheese and sour cream?
@PreparednessPro10 жыл бұрын
D. Peterson Thanks for asking, D. Sorry, I thought I covered that. You can get them at fivestarpreparedness.com but I also like the Thrive brand of powdered sour cream.

Where did you find your potato ricer? Nowadays all we can find is cheap plastic ones that break or the old ones that still bend after 40lbs of potatoes...
@PreparednessPro9 жыл бұрын
+MrsScentsibleT Williams and Sonoma I'm kind of addicted to that store sometimes. So I stay away and only pull the trigger in there when it's a really important piece for my kitchen. :-)

Could you prepare them just as you would for an immediate dinner? Can you use real milk? For me, I typically make these with raw goat milk, and with real cream cheese. Thank you for your answer. I soon appreciate your videos!!!!
@PreparednessPro10 жыл бұрын
Darla Anderson Yes, you sure can use real make, make them immediately prior to dinner (as do I) and I think that goat milk and cream cheese would be a GREAT asset to the flavor profile! Enjoy!

You really can't successfully can dense items. I wouldn't can mashed potatoes. Instead, I would can potatoes (diced or in big chunks) and then make mashed potatoes out of those potatoes when I want to. If you can really dense items, you run a significantly higher risk of food poisoning. You can go to our website preparednesspro.com and put in "canning butter" and you'll see detailed instructions on several methods for canning butter. ;-)

Good god!! Have some potatoes with your "real salt" !
@PreparednessPro3 жыл бұрын
That was a LOT of potatoes. The nice thing about the Real Salt is that it's so good for you. I don't mind using quite a bit on my mashed potatoes.

That's a lot of fat!! Looks yummi though, but I would definitely leave out the butter, cheese and cream, and use a virgin olive oil instead. Part of preparedness is for me to eat healthy, so your body is top tuned. :-p
@PreparednessPro10 жыл бұрын
It would be AWESOME if folks would get better informed about good fats. Did you know that you cant' absorb key nutrients without the consumption of fats such as those that come from butter fat, marine oils, organ meats, fish (incl shellfish), eggs, and animal tallows. In fact, most of us are not absorbing the vitamins and minerals that are in our food as a result of mistakenly omitting these kinds of fats. Wow, the amount of salt you pour in there is making my feet swell just watching. Everything else looks yummy, though.
