I really just want to thank you for this video. I have been signed up with Bountiful Baskets for quite some time and have received all their emails but never made a contribution. I watched your video earlier in the week and decided to order. WOW sure glad I did. All my order was awesome, clean and fresh. I got the stew pack and one conventional basket and it was the best decision I made. Thanks again.

I thought you looked and sounded familiar. I'm so glad I stayed to watch your videos. Thank you! My family started canning because of you and your family. Now that we are on the all meat, veg & fruit intake, and I need to learn all I can to be a "thurviver" :) Please keep up the good work and making us all smile!

I'm so glad you had a good experience. Since it's all volunteer-based, it can be rough in some areas.

I miss them now that I've relocated. They're nowhere near where I live now, dern it.
@PreparednessPro12 жыл бұрын
Yeah, and just ONE of them is a perfect side dish for a meal--especially when steamed in a little bit of S&P and orange juice and fresh parsley. Yum!

WOW! I wish OUR bountiful baskets program was as nice as yours. We get like one of each fruit or veg they offer and it looks like a little kid put together the order. We are offered only variety baskets. I could order the max and still end up with only four zuchini in the whole bunch. We stopped using their services because our family is just too big to get up at the crack of dawn just to get what I could randomly grab at the grocery store myself. Maybe they will improve in our area someday.

I did have trouble getting it in time in Utah, but now there are so many more areas that I actually have three reasonable locations to choose from.

Volunteers do not get free baskets, but they should receive one large or two small items.

Is it worth it to get an organic bountiful basket or should I just get refusal one? Do I get more if I don't go organic?
@PreparednessPro11 жыл бұрын
Julie, I'm not certain. I've never purchased their organic package. If I could do it again, I would at least try it once. However, the BB in my area has become far too ridiculous to deal with and their mediocrity, so I stopped purchasing from them. Hopefully I'll find a good location in my new home. :-) The local volunteers will make a world of difference.

Thanks, LaDonna. I confess that I've not done as many videos as I really should have. Reality got in the way these past couple of years, but we've got several new ones recorded now and just waiting to be rendered. So stay tuned!

How much are the bountyful baskets I don't think they have one in Mississippi and I Also been looking for the food banks to throw out food that may be still good close to expired to use as canning but I don't think they do that in Mississippi either
@PreparednessPro5 жыл бұрын
Susan I'm sure they have changed since I first published this video so you'll want to check online. If my memory serves me correctly I think it was around 25 bucks

You always make me smile! LOL There are SEVERAL more that are being rendered and will be up soon. We've been working hard on them. So stay tuned for a new method for storing eggs as well as making Eggplant Rattatoiulle and how to store whole lemons for a year without refrigeration. :-)

Our baskets in Las Vegas are NOT so bountiful...
@thekneadyhomemaker13128 жыл бұрын
+Vegas Vaughn Photography It really depends on how many people contribute towards your site. Closer to maxing out on the baskets= more money contributed for a greater amount of produce.
@PreparednessPro12 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you've got a lackluster volunteer who MAY not be entirely honest. If it's actually under the name of "Bountiful Baskets" there is a very specific way that the program is to be handled and the way you're describing doesn't ring true in alliance with that method. I'd suggest either becoming a volunteer or finding another location. It's called "bountiful" for a reason.
