Great video! Just what I've been looking to do. Have seen other videos where a custom linkage is needed afterwards. Didn't want to mess with that. Any recommendations on what type/size of spring to get for that last piece that connects to the pull start housing?

I don't have a recommendation for the spring. I just had an assorted box from harbor Freight and just picked one that stretched enough to reach the bolt while maintaining enough tension to return the throttle arm to idle.

what is the difference between doing this and the ziptie trick?

The zip tie trick does not bypass the governor it only reduces travel of the throttle arm before you are at full throttle. The only way to actually bypass the governor is to remove it or the components connected to it.
