Nice work Annie, I got my first two nuggets in the 80,s at McMasters with an old 15000. What type of camera are you using it’s excellent

Thanks, John. I was using a GoPro 7 Black but found it hard to keep track of the videos and having to download. I now use an iPhone 11 Pro as I find it very clear. Sometimes it overbalances on the small light tripod I have. Also, I carry a small power pack/battery bank to charge it during the day - if I have lots of finds. 🤣

Hi Annie, I’ve just fitted the NF12 and spent four days at Clermont. 2 days at McMasters and 2 days split between Flat Diggings and MacDonalds Flat. Can I ask what settings you used at McMasters please? I tried changing settings after starting on factory numbers but am struggling to find any actual gold with the new coil. Not sure if I have it right as it just sounds unstable and makes it difficult to pick an actual target. I do find plenty of pellets and General junk. Thanks

Pretty much factory preset, Neil. Threshold 27, Sensitivity 9-12. For Threshold pitch, I’ve got it on about 48 for me. 😀⛏⛏

What is the best detector that you know? (I learn lot of things from you thank you very much but I live in Japan I really wanna go to Australia have a adventure
@GoldNuggetDetecting2 жыл бұрын
The best detector for prospecting for gold I think is the Minelab GPZ 7000. It is expensive and relatively heavy. Search for Minelab on Google and read up on the types of detectors available. If you want a gold adventure in Australia, consider a gold prospecting tour or hiring a detector to see if you actually like the hobby. Victoria or Western Australia would be my pick of places but gold is getting harder to find. Gold is often found in isolated, harsh environments so one needs to be careful and best to go with experienced person, at least in the beginning. Best of luck 😀⛏️⛏️
