Just wondering since I dont have the locking washer removal tool, can I get away with using a screw driver and hammer to remove this threaded washer?
@jabbac5610 жыл бұрын
ive got a 94 GQ coil cab TD42 and my hubs dont have to same style locking was nut and washer. its weird seeing the style in the vid. i got a flat washer with a notch in it and a large 54mm nut.

What's the preload for a new bearing when reassembling the hub?
@Casowsky6 жыл бұрын
It's on section/page FA-8 of the Y60 manual, you use a spring scale to measure the force applied at a wheel stud to rotate the hub: - put the hub back on spindle, put outer bearing in with washer and torque up the hub nut to 167 - 196 N.m (hope you bought a decent hub nut tool, some of the ebay ones are a bit janky) - undo the locknut, spin it back on by hand so that it just squeezes against the bearing (3-5 N.m), rotate the hub back and forth a few times and set to 3-5 N.m again - measure the force required to get the hub to begin rotating using the spring scale on a wheel stud tangent to the hub (force A) - turn nut in tightening direction and measure breakaway force in the same manner (force B) - get it so that B - A is within 0-18.6 N. If it's too tight, undo the nut and repeat
