Every girl that i have told to watch that movie and to tell me what they think always come back telling me how they were so drawn to David McCall and how they desired and wanted him despite being freaked out by him and some of them even told me they would love it if he stalked them 😐 I have yet to meet a girl who can watch the entire movie and not feel anything at all towards Mark Whalberg .

When you think of Mark, you don't think of him as having a particularly prolific or significant set of films behind him, probably because of the type of character he tends to play, but he's done some pretty high quality projects with great actors and excellent directors... This was fairly interesting :)

It would take a bit more convincing to make a movie about a weed smoking teddy bear than a series that is already respected and known. But a comedy about a talking teddy bear is? That's the point I was making. Also it's been proven this genre works. Look at Mister Ed (6 seasons), Alvin & the Chipmunks, Garfield, Dr. Dolittle, Guardians of the Galaxy, Planet of the Apes, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, etc

That naming the white trash names scene in Ted is legendary. In some ways I think comedy is even harder than drama. When you think about method actors Mark isn't the first name to come to mind, but he always brings it big time. I'm glad he didn't mention the Transformers...that was just a paycheck.

He stole all the scenes he was in, in "The Basketball Diaries", that's what got me hooked on him. Even when he's in bad films, he's always interesting to watch. He's great in "Fear" and "Boogie Nights". Also really heartbreaking in the torture scene in "Three Kings"

Even being _considered_ for a role in a Martin Scorsese movie is something most actors can only dream of. I've got nothing against Wahlberg but the guy isn't exactly Daniel Day Lewis.

It's amazing to me how much this guy has done despite how badly he seems so reluctant to do literally anything. Every project, "Didn't want to do this movie, didn't want to talk to this guy, didn't want to try this, not really into this" Some people are just born stupidly lucky.

Ted is really a movie for Mark that comes out at the right time with the right people and it was really needed for him to be attached to a big comedy movie like this. It's a match made in heaven.

I agree with the first part, but the 2nd part yes he is serious, but at times here he comes across as a bit arrogant/bored depending on the film he's talking about. He for sure knows his craft, but not laid back person at all...
