The most impressive driving I've seen are when rally drivers have a hood go up and they finish the course blind, trusting the co-driver's track notes to drive the rest of the course. That's absolutely amazing.

I think you'll find that far more people comment with "hold my" than complain about the inherent unoriginality of "hold my" comments. So even if my disagreement isn't particularly original, it is far more original than being host to the mindless gestures of memes.
