By far best Corolla horn upgrade video. I found a kit for land cruisers on eBay that includes everything. I like the oem connections and look of this kit.

Thank you! I try to be very detailed. I agree with you about the kit too, it can be used on any Toyota vehicle.

The premium horn kit is cool I added one to my 2006 Corolla. If you don't want to spend the extra money and get the same results Amazon had the Hella trumpet horns with the Toyota proprietary connector you can pick up a set for $30 you might have to pick up the splitter kit if you don't have them laying around. Same sound and output if you have to do multiple cars and don't care about the toyota text on the horn.

I don’t see it on eBay is there any other options you would suggest? I like the sound of the one you put in

There has been a huge run on them. Here is a seller on Amazon but they are few and far between right now! amzn.to/3S10BlN

Great improvement from the oem one. You think this one will bolt on a 2017 corolla Im.? im thinking replacing mine.

I’m sure it will. I think it will fit on many different Toyotas.

This is a silly question: Can I just use one of the horns in that kit? If so, do you think it'll be a loud enough upgrade from the factory horn? Thanks!

I'm not sure what the frequency is of the OEM horn. These are designed to work together to get the right sound. Could you? Sure, but why? I wouldn't try to save a couple of dollars and get a cheaper sounding horn.

Great video! Just ordered mine. Quick question though - I see all your cosmetic upgrades, why no performance upgrades?
@jimsgaragetoys6 ай бұрын
I'm waiting on many of those to see what happens with them. I'm in no rush as the car performs great as is and I would rather make sure that all of the bugs are worked out before deciding on what I want to do. I don't want to just throw money away for no reason. I want to make smart decisions.

Can you do something about the head lamp? It has annoying shadow on the original led head lamp
@jimsgaragetoys7 ай бұрын
It can be fixed but you need to remove the headlamp, bake it in the oven, separate the 2 halves and use a Dremel tool to fix it before putting things back together. It can be done and I've done a HID retrofit on my 2009 Corolla Turbo where I had to bake the headlamps and take them apart. It's not terribly hard but at this point it hasn't bothered me enough that I've thought about doing anything.

Does it have to be in oven? Is heat gun doing the job?
@jimsgaragetoys7 ай бұрын
@@yilizhang5857 It would be hard to use a heat gun and get the adhesive warm enough to pry apart. It's so much easier to use an oven at a lower temp setting. I would also be worried about damaging the headlamp with the heat gun. Do it right and use an oven.
