Great looking car! Just a quick question, you put your jack on the sides of the GRY to lift it up. Where do you put it exactly? Is it where the scissor jack stand is placed? :)

How’s the wet weather performance on the super sports? I‘ve read they are worse than their successors the Pilot Sport 4s, but I don’t have any experience with them so far...

About a kilo per corner I think. New ones are heavier, but I intend for these to be the dailies. Mainly because the stock ones are so expensive to replace!

I normally hate gloss black wheels, but really like the Yaris ones for some reason. But with that wrap, the black had to go and now those white ones look sweet. Sadly I cant swap mine even if I wanted since it'll be a year before I get mine!

I’m just looking at adding some 18x9 aftermarket alloys to my GR but have been told 9.5 with 255/35/18 tyres is best ? What tyres did you get on your 9” wheels as I think they look perfect ? Car looks great by the way

Not great. Without tyres I think the new ones are around 9kg with stock being 7kg-ish. However the plan is to use these on the daily as they are cheaper and stronger than the stock ones. At £1600 per corner, I’d be mortified if I hit a pot hole with the stock rims! (Plus, these look cool 😂)

Use jack stands. That jack is known to fail suddenly.

In all honesty, I’d be depending on the jack for the same amount of time to replace the wheel as it would take for me to put jack stands under, so kinda no point for a wheel change. I use jack stands if it’s in the air for any period of time and/or I’m going under the car 👍🏼

Yes, but you're not supposed to remove the wheel until the jack stand is in place. It's slap dash and will catch you out one day. The Jack's fail under load not when you are not using them 🙃

Why would you not? No risk of them getting scratched if you drop them. Sitting them on wood keeps them away from the mud and grass and then all the water drains away nicely. If you are concerned about the grass, we have a dog. Any care for that lawn went years ago 🤣

My driveway is permeable to stop water overloading the drainage systems (current building regs), so arguably washing them on the lawn is no different to washing the car on the driveway. There are much better ways to be eco friendly than moaning about some bloke on KZbin washing their car 🤦🏽‍♂️
