One trick I learned, from the Chalk It Up Fancy girls, with rub on transfers, is to use some sort of barrier, such as mod podge or varnish, on your painted surfaces before adding your transfers. It helps so much! I’ve not had any issues since I’ve started doing that! ❤️ Also, I recently donated a ton of my craft supplies to a yard sale - they were a huge draw & I made a few bucks! BUT, since cleaning out all that “extra” I’m finding so many things I bought to craft with but lost, and have been crafting everyday using only the stuff left over in my stash!! It’s so nice to walk into my craft room and be able to grab all the things I need and create whenever an idea sparks!! 😂❤

I tried that trick on wooden stool I painted with chalk paint then put mod podge then painted ( using proper technique) in stencil n lifted it up had bleeds and in places lifted part of the paint I had on stool. Dont know what happened

@@michellesuniqueboutique3405 when I get too aggressive and press too hard with the transfers, I get bleeding too. I’m not at all saying that’s what happened in your case. Seems there is definitely a bit of a learning curve to these transfers. 🤔🥰

Hi cutie Kristin. I always have trouble with paint on this paddle boards but I lov them too. Tfs some great ideas. I love the oink piggy and cow on the tool box flower box. ADD a pc of foam board under the bottom and it will be sturdy. I used a plunger stick as the handle on mine Che it’s sturdy but not as cute as yours. Xoxo.

O- m- gosh the little tool box is adorable. I didnt think about using the rope instead of a dowl . I ruined a good transfer after painting on a pizza pan from d.t. now i put mod podge on after i paint let it dry then put the transfer on that seem to help a lot . Just a suggestion . Everything is so cute !

When using transfers you have to put down a layer of Modpodge or an poly acrylic clear spray over the top then your transfers will stick.
